Glastonbury 2019 - pre lockdowns and Covid! Still one of my all time favourites - reminds me of The Yardbirds (Yes, I am that old!), early Who and Stones, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, etc, etc. The combination of instruments is brilliant and as somebody commented it sounds like many more instruments! I've listened to a few of their other tracks, and some I liked but this is certainly the best! I remember seeing it at the end of Glastonbury and thinking that was one of the best performances for a long time there. Seeing the audience bopping especially those two boys really enjoying themselves added to the pleasure! Glastonbury 2023 beat that if you can!
@SnoverDS2 жыл бұрын
Amazed at the display of accomplished musicianship and creativity from these guys. They sound so much bigger than just a three-piece outfit. A lot of that goes to the keyboardist, but extra kudos for making it all so endlessly inventive! And the freaking concept if the band's name, are you kidding me? This sounds like an interstellar comet speeding through the solar system, heading right for old Sol, and too damn bad for whatever gets in it's way on the trip! Literally, listening to this, my mind explodes with all these images of a gigantic comet speeding through the solar system, x-septillions of tons of ice and volatile organic compounds, radiating ahead of its path all these idiosyncratic electro-magnetic effects on the weather and the infrastructure of the third little rock out from Sol. Like God, saying, "Hello, mankind. It's been a while. How's that space program coming along? WHAT??? I've got 80-quadrillion tons of ice arriving Wednesday morning, 08:00, and you're all still here? WTF, MANKIND?"
@SnoverDS2 жыл бұрын
Also: in a group of three standout musicians, the drummer is amazing! He just keeps driving the music forward, 120+ mph, start to finish. All you other guys who want to hit the rocks with the sticks? This guy, right here? This is how you do it.
