Al-Masih ad-Dajjal (Arabic: ٱلْمَسِيحُ ٱلدَّجَّالُ, romanized: al-Masīḥ ad-Dajjāl, lit. 'Deceitful Messiah'),otherwise referred to simply as the Dajjal, is an evil figure in Islamic eschatology similar to the Antichrist in Christianity, who will pretend to be the promised Messiah, appearing before the Day of Judgment according to the Islamic eschatological narrative. The Dajjal is never mentioned in the Quran, but he is mentioned and described in the ḥadīth literature.
Like in Christianity, the Dajjal is said to emerge out in the east, although the specific location varies among the various sources. The Dajjal will imitate the miracles performed by ʿĪsā (Jesus), such as healing the sick and raising the dead, the latter done with the aid of devils (Shayāṭīn). He will deceive many people, such as weavers, magicians, half-castes, and children of prostitutes.
Dr. Ali Ataie provides a moving discourse warning us of the dangers of the Dajjal and how these dangers coincide with recent developments in Western life and culture.

Sidi Ali Ataie studied various Islamic sciences with local San Francisco Bay Area scholars. He is a graduate of the Badr Arabic Language Institute in Hadramawt, Yemen, and studied at the prestigious Dar al-Mustafa, also in Hadramawt, under some of the most eminent scholars in the world. He holds a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley (Oct. 2011), with emphasis upon the New Testament (he is the first Muslim seminarian in the over 150 year history of the school to earn this degree). He is certified in Arabic, Hebrew, and Biblical Greek, and is fluent in Farsi. Ali Ataie is undoubtedly one of the foremost leading scholars in comparative religions today. He is currently a teacher and researcher of the Islamic Sciences and specializes in theology and biblical interpretation. Additionally he is also the President and Founder of Muslim Interfaith Council and has been heavily involved in interfaith activities for the past 15 years. He earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Cal Poly State University in 2000, during which time he served as the President of the Muslim Students’ Association .
He has been both a guest lecturer and guest instructor at several colleges and universities such as Cal Poly State , UC Davis , UC Berkeley, and Cal State East Bay . He studied various Islamic sciences under local Bay Area scholars and has dialogued and debated with several Christian scholars on a variety of topics ranging from the historicity of the resurrection of Christ (upon whom be peace) and the Prophet hood of Muhammad (upon whom be peace and blessings).
He is a graduate of the Badr Arabic Language Institute in Hadramawt, Yemen and studied at the prestigious Dar al-Mustafa under some of the most eminent scholars in the world. The best fact about Persian nation in particular and Iranian people in general is that once they reach and comprehend hidden wisdom behind any ideology, they will embrace it whole-heartedly and will stubbornly defend it to their last drop. Classic cases: Hazrat Salman Parsi (May Allah Subhanahu Watala be pleased with him and bless him) a Persian gentleman of noble origins left his home for the light of ultimate truth & purpose, abandoned by his family for his quest and when found it out, then didn't left for his home nation rather dying in Arabia. Also when the Safavids, for political rhetoric and geo-political ambitions by hook or by crook, imposed Shia creed on Persians, most of the eminent ulema either chose to embrace martyrdom or exile. The common folks were less fortunate as due to state sponsored terror they were massacred and gradually over the period of a century, some out of fear & affliction adopted sect and many out of conviction by recently imported Shia ulema of Syria & Iraq. By seeing the Iranian brothers like Daniel Haqiqatjou, struggle for finding the true Islam, I am convinced that curiosity & seeking truth and knowledge runs in Iranian blood. May Allah Subhanahu Watala bless and guide all of His creations towards the light of Islam.

Tameem Al Daari (R.A) Encounter with the dajjal He told me that he sailed in a ship with thirty men of Lakhm and Judhaam and they were tossed by the waves of the sea for a month. Then they came to an island at sunset. They sat in a small rowing-boat and landed on that island. They were met by a beast with a great deal of hair and they could not distinguish his face from his back because he was so hairy. They said: ‘Woe to you, what are you?’ It said: ‘I am al-Jassaasah.’ They said: ‘What is al-Jassaasah?’ It said: ‘O people, go to this man in the monastery for he keen to know about you.’ He (the narrator) said: When it named a man for us we were afraid of it lest it be a devil. Then we set off, rushing, until we came to that monastery, where we found the hugest man we had ever seen, bound strongly in chains with his hands tied to his neck and his legs bound from the knees to the ankles with iron shackles. We said: ‘Woe to you, who are you?’ He said: ‘You will soon find out about me; tell me who you are.’ They said: ‘We are people from Arabia who embarked on a ship, but the sea became wild and the waves tossed us about for one month, then they brought us to this island of yours. We took to the rowing-boats and landed on this island. We were met by a beast with a great deal of hair and we could not tell his front from his back because he was so hairy. We said: Woe to you, what are you? It said: I am al-Jassaasah. We said: What is al-Jassaasah? It said: Go to this man in the monastery for he is keen to know about you. So we came rushing to you and we fled from it because we could not be sure that it was not a devil.’ He (that chained person) said: ‘Tell me about the date-palm trees of Baysaan.’ We said: ‘What do you want to know about them?’ He said: ‘I am asking you whether these trees bear fruit.’ We said: ‘Yes.’ He said: ‘Soon they will not bear fruit.’ He said: ‘Tell me about the lake of Tabariyyah’ We said: ‘What do you want to know about it?’ He said: ‘Is there water in it?’ They said: ‘There is a great deal of water in it.’ He said: ‘Soon it will dry up.’ Then he said: ‘Tell me about the spring of Zughar (which is in the south of Syria).’ They said: ‘What do you want to know about it?’ He said: ‘Is there water in the spring and do the people grow crops with the water of the spring?’ We said to him: ‘Yes, there is plenty of water in it and the people grow crops with its water.’ He said: ‘Tell me about the Prophet if the unlettered; what has he done?’ We said: ‘He has left Makkah and has settled in Yathrib (Madeenah).’ He said: ‘Do the Arabs fight against him?’ We said: ‘Yes.’ He said: ‘How did he deal with them?’ We told him that he had prevailed over the Arabs in his vicinity and they had shown obedience to him. He said to us: ‘Has it really happened?’ We said: ‘Yes.’ He said: ‘If it is so that is better for them that they show obedience to him. Now I will tell you about myself. I am the Dajjaal and soon I will be given permission to emerge. So I will come out and travel in the land, and will not spare any town but I will stay for forty nights, except Makkah and Taybah (Madeenah). They are both forbidden to me; every time I try to enter one of them, I will be met by an angel with a sword in his hand, who will bar my way, and on every route there will be angels guarding it.’ She said: Then the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) struck the minbar with his staff and said: “This is Taybah, this is Taybah, this is Taybah,” meaning Madeenah. “Did I net tell you this before?” The people said: Yes. [The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:] “I liked the story of Tameem because it agrees with what I used to tell you about him and about Makkah and Madeenah. But he is in the Syrian Sea (Mediterranean) or the Yemeni Sea (Arabian Sea). No, rather he is in the east, he in the east, he is in the east,” and he pointed towards the east with his hand. She said: I memorized this from the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

Lord means one who has authority or power over someone. Sayyid is not the same as Rabb. There is a hadith where the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told a tribe to "stand for your sayyid" when their chieftain entered upon them.

The full title of the Dajjal in the ahadith is 'Masih ad dajjal', meaning the messianic imposter, or imposter Christ. Muslims also believe in the anti Christ, although what we have been told may differ from what is in the Christian bible.

He NAMED the Honorable Elijah Muhammad as a lesser Dajjal. I DISAGREE. Why not name the Honorable Elijah Muhammad's teacher, FARD MUHAMMAD, as the lesser Dajjal. Elijah Muhammad only had a third grade Education and from him came MALCOLM X (Al Hajj Malik Shabazz) and the son of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, IMAM WARITH DEEN MUHAMMAD. Through Imam Warith Deen Muhammad comes the BIGGEST growth of American born Muslims. Allah SWT intervened on behalf of black American Muslims and brought us to love the Quran and DEEN of the Prophet. So why call the Honorable Elijah Muhammad a dajjal WHEN HE HAD A TEACHER THAT TAUGHT HIM LIES? Through Imam Warith Deen Muhammad, we now know that a Mystic Order of Arabs SENT Fard Muhammad (the teacher of Elijah Muhammad) to help black Americans. Their scheme worked... partially. A split occured. WD Muhammad led his followers to TRUE ISLAM, while others followed Louis Farrakhan and the teachings of Elijah Muhammad. That split survives to this day. My point is, why not call the TEACHER OF ELIJAH (Fard Muhammad) the lesser Dajjal? Why not the People who sent Fard Muhammad to us? Why isn't he a lesser Dajjal?
