Hello, good to see you trying new roles! A few tips about nodes. Each node needs 50 supplies and you have 2 options how to build them 1, Get a supply truck, there are 2 boxes of 150 supplies in the truck. (To resupply you just need to drive back to the HQ.) Drive to the edge of 2nd/3rd column (because you can't drop supplies in the first two), drop one box of 150 supplies in the 3rd column but build the nodes in the 2nd so they can't be destroyed if your point is taken. This is what the commander wanted you to do. Because when you lose a point it deletes your team's garrisons, OPs, and nodes in that part of the map. 2, A bit safer but longer strategy is get a support player drop you supplies in the HQ and build it there. But support player drops only 50 supplies so you need more people to drop it or wait the cool down time for the new box. You can also constantly redeploy and switch between the support/engineer roles so drop yourself 50 supllies then build one node and repeat. Nodes in HQ usually get destroyed much less than those placed further on the map. Pro tip: Manpower node lowers the cool down time for your supplies to half when you get in the yellow circle around the node so build that node first when you do the "switching roles" nodes building. It's usually just in time when you build one node and switch to support you just need a few more seconds and you have a new supply box. Also, because the nodes you built generate supplies it gives you support points which turn into exp to level up. When you are playing offense mode you can build nodes only after your team captures the first point. So after that your commander will need someone to build the nodes but players usually just focus on attacking... that's why I always go build nodes because people just never do it

So just a point, you can build nodes within 50m of the supply box, thats why the commander dropped the supplies just over the boundary into the 3rd row, so you then go back into the second row and build your nodes for the reason just jay gave above. Additionally, if you are thinking about going artillery, build at least a munitions node before you do as firing the artillery costs munitions.

Tip: Use spawn points as a radar. When you lost the garrison on the point, you were looking at your map just before and the garrison turned full red. That means someone is very close. Spawn points start flashing red if an enemy is within 50m and garrisons lock when the enemy is within 15m. In the red zone, the garrison just locks when the enemy is within 50m. I have made a habit of always checking the map when I put down a spawn point. Just to check if someone is close. Also every time I look at the map, I take note of flashing or locked spawn points. If you put your OP away from the garrison, you can create a perimeter of "radars" to warn you of enemies closing in.

youre doing great mate, when i first started i used to run multiple km cause i didnt know i could redeploy. nodes is what gives commander supply points to spawn tanks drop supplies add extra defense launch bombing runs ect. engis also build defenses on point with supplies , better to have 2 engis become friends and have one running supply truck drops (can only be dropped +200m from spawn and further) while one builds you can only build 3 nodes and for defenses there is a cap it tells you 0/4 0/2 if you try to build after the number it will remove the first one and let you waste resources, so after max youll want to switch out with other engi from truck/building. build on either 2 or 3 point for faster runs unless youre team is steam rolling than join the fire fight., also nodes disappear when enemy captures the zone they are placed in, but closer to front line gives best bonuses, most safe spots are in zones 3&4 from your spawn. As engi best to get supply truck @ very beginning and place nodes immediately. For new guy youre still doing more than most and it is a joy to watch you grow :D PS almost every server has auto punishment of +10 seconds for redeploy or teamkill regardless if they click punish or not. oi and yesterday i said caretan and foy were worst maps had to edit, it was not caretan it was purple heart lane which is this map :'''''( lol dont drown lol

@@Simonb1471 building nodes is one of the best ways to lvl up your classes, you don t need to be on the engie to receive the bonus xp from the nodes, just build them and redeploy to any other class and the xp that was generated by those nodes will transfer to that class that you played as long as the nodes are not getting destroyed

If you're defending in the last few minutes of a game and you hear an aircraft, always look to the skies, because it could be an airhead. I can't stress that enough when I'm a SL or a commander.

As a squad lead the most important things you need to do is to buils outpost so your team can spawn quicker and build a garrisons. Also start using binoculars, they are very powerfull in this game. You need to mark enemy infantry, tanks, outposts and garrisons. Also you can give orders with setting marks on the map - atack, defend, need supplies and etc.

people are saying about getting the truck stuck... yes that happens alot cus the rear wheel drive, recon tanks are shit for it aswell, wide trenches just stay clear - canals and stuff just go sideways not straight and you can usually get past it fairly quick - Also if you are stuck, good idea to Press space bar for handbreak then rev to 4th gear then let go, if you can get out, that'll sling you out, alternatively just do a 1000 Turn Uey

Nice job with your nodes. Without them, the Commander is practically powerless without the resources they need to perform their role. So many times you'll hear the Commander howling for squads to build nodes and no one does, then they all bleat how bad the commander is for not spawing more tanks, doing boming runs or setting up garries etc. Commander is a thankless job. Building nodes also to benefits you, as you get passive experience while the nodes generate resources, regardless of what role you change to afterwards. Great way to level up. You get punished the extra 10sec on respawn regardless whether they punish you or not. The only difference is whether it is reported to admin on the server which can result in you getting booted.

so for context, theres 3 type of nodes, they give fuel, ammo and manpower which the commander needs to spawn trucks, tanks, supplies etc. Every engineer can build 1 of each node.
