Two years ago, I went back to play Cold War and then went to bed. Later, I got a text from my friend saying that I was in the lobby, and I was shocked at first, though I thought he was fooling around. Later, I realized that my account had been hacked, and I recovered the account at that very moment. Two days after getting my account back, my account got banned for cheating. I appealed, stating that the hacker had used cheats while using my account. Unfortunately, I had not set up authentication (my fault). I thought, "Who would hack my account?" but someone actually did.😅

warzone has ruined gaming in general. even games like pubg had no problem banning even the biggest streamers for doing something wrong in the game.

I played the original Warzone for a couple of days and immediately came across a cheat. Running up some stairs, got shot by someone lying in wait at the top. Kill Cam showed him tracking me up the stairs even though I was out of sight. Haven't played it since. I'm a software dev and it should actually be fairly easy to detect cheating. There are methods available that aren't being used. For example, they could feed "ghost data" into the game as a way of detecting people using aim assist - by that, I mean additional enemies embedded in the data that don't actually exist and don't show up on the screen but it would fool aim assist. Kind of acting like chaff. You could also insist on daily updates. These would only be a few Kb in size and would introduce a new daily key to help unscramble encoded data. Hardware hacks that read the streams coming in wouldn't be able to deal with it. But the biggest problem is VPN. That's why the big streamers can get around bans. The only way to deal with it would be to make it as frustrating as possible by having a team watching out for these streamers circumventing the bans and then insta-ban them. It would also give Activision a route for suing those streamers to cover the cost of these employees breaking the TOS. Eventually, it would make it uneconomical and too much of a hassle for cheats to get away with it. But Microsoft, as Activision's daddy, needs to get off its arse and put that nuclear option.

i dont think activision can keep up with banning. Activision did they part. its up to the ppl to make that judgement on bobby. ppl that follow bobby are the same kind of ppl that follow logan paul after laughing at a corpse hanging on a tree. look up youtuber that make content that hack. look up dezzy, that moves exactly like joewo when he was pumping all them movement king vids the last 3 years. just toggling aim like crazy. and ppl thought that was raw skills. i got the movement and the aim and i know for fact that i can easily hack and be smart enough to not get cuaght. all i got to do is not play whenever a ban wave is coming and make sure my hacks are not detected.

no matter what activison says they do not currently use ai to ban players they are still using the exact same system from mw2 they just keep yapping about all the new detection methods they are adding but its all either cap or doesn't work

IP bans would fix everything. Well, a majority. You could create a new account but couldn't play from the same location.

It's one thing to have the account banned. But, to be hardware banned is a different thing. They wouldn't hardware ban you if this is your first offense or few offenses

I quit this POS franchise during BO4, and I have no regrets. It just wasn’t worth my time. There are so many incredible games out there waiting to be played! Occasionally, I still see CoD videos pop up in my recommendations
