We are One consciousness. And I think I finally see that clearly now 🖤 🙏 ✨ If there was one Being we would call it God. There is no separation within our perception. Therefore if there is no separation, we are One with the universe, and if we are One with the universe, we would call it Self. When we look into another’s eyes we look into our own. Always. I like to think the darkness in the One’s eyes is our shared being, and it is the One we have always loved. Jesus once said what you do unto the least if your brothers and sisters you do unto me. He meant that literally. You do unto God. Everywhere we look is God’s face, the Self, I am, in an eternal time called the present. The past is a mind echo and future is never here. Solipsism is the final spiritual station and it is so peaceful 🖤🙏✨👁

The episode of the barking dog. I came across it a couple of times, and each time it stirs up some sort of resistance. Everything appears inside awareness, inside of "me", fine, no problem with that whatsoever. But the next step I do not necessarily agree with. "How could anything that appears inside me bother me ?" I don't see why it shouldn't. Just the fact that it's part of me doesn't necessarily make it fine... at least that seems to be my experience. Toothaches appear in me. I "know" I'm missing something here, and I also suppose everything doesn't have to work for me the same way it works/worked for someone else, still I wish someone could say something that would cause/help me to see it differently. Just to pull the rug out from under one of my mind's attempt to find objections.

From the seeing that everything is in me does not change the appearance of toothache but it doesn't exist in the same way anymore and the emotional side of pain falls away. Checking out some of Rupert's meditations on the body can also bring this experiential understanding.

@@alanneachell9092 yes, the toothache, a feeling, but minus the "drama", our own "topping" to what simply is.

A character on the television screen is bothered by the barking dog or toothache, but the screen on which the story appears is totally unaffected. You are the screen of awareness in which the barking or toothache appears. You are present before, during and after their appearance, and are totally unaffected by them. They are made of you---their being is your being---but they do not limit or define you in any way.

Truth is! God is a religious term,name given to self aware existence which may expand as Jesus, Rama or any name or limit by these names further and split into limitless limited pieces. That is mind.

I don't think I've ever heard Rupert guide someone by pointing out the primacy of existence or being, "the common element" in all apparent things. He usually goes with consciousness or knowing. You land in the same place because knowing and being are inseparable, but I love the alternate approach. I hadn't seen it that way before, and now that it's been pointed out, it's so obvious. Thanks Al and Rupert ❤️

The Mind makes distinctions to orient itself in the World. One fundamental distinction is the distinction between Mind and Matter. And asking what's behind this distinction, the Mind will relax to Pure Awareness, the creative Essence of any distiz.

So many problematic issues here! One is that any apparent “existent” is an unfindable emptiness without inherently existing characteristics. He also doesn’t understand that sounds and visual phenomena are generated by the neurology of the brain. The self who sees or heart all this is also an illusory product of neural activity. His notion of “borrowing” is hopelessly dualistic. He also doesn’t understand that we don’t see the outside world, we only experience a virtual video which our brains produce from contacts with the five senses. The one who is watching these brain videos is also produced by the brain; there is no self who is witnessing. This is Buddhist “anatta”. There is no entity called God, there is only the total field of Condcioudness appearing AS all appearances, including matter, energy, neurons, brains , bodies, perceptions and thoughts. So yes, there is only Consciousness, but it appears completely differently than how he describes it. The laws of physics describe how Consciousness appears and as an interdependent Wholeness as described in quantum field theory.

The neurology of the brain is a second person view of the first person’s direct experience. Please stop quoting other teachings and tell us about your direct experience.
@ejackpete3
@ejackpete3 3 жыл бұрын
@@alanneachell9092 “direct experience” is no more legitimate or reliable than second hand. Why? Because it’s the brain which is interpreting “direct experience” and is infusing it with meaning and definition based on memory and conditioning. There is no “perceiver” of direct experience, because only perceptions exist, but without a fictional perceiver of them.

The ultimate realisation is: All there is, is Knowingknown (written one word to express that it's not two) Any ideas, formulations or models including your model of reality are at best a poor attempt to express this. To argue about the models is akin to re arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic hoping it will prevent the ship from sinking.
