DMT took me straight too “I Am Awareness” with nothing standing in the way. I knew exactly what I was, however, I had to come down. If that’s what I really am at all times, good god it’s amazing and absolutely beautiful. There was no body identification, no identification with the mind, or any conditioning or programming at all. It was just pure, clear, bright, incredible, beautiful, clean awareness. It was incredible to say the least. If that’s what I am working towards, even though we are told that’s what we are all the time, I’ll be happy to arrive there once I get there. I am still regularly identified with the body and the mind And all the conditioning etc. Suffering still exists, sometimes in great degree and even tho no sufferer can be found etc etc. I’ve got all the non dual language down, all the quotes from the masters and plenty of peak experiences however… I’m tact following all the different teachers, even though they’re all saying, the same thing, has left me with more concepts and ideas than ever, which I believe are blocking me. They are obstacles. I guess I’ll just keep meditating, as if I had any choice in the matter anyway 😂

DMT can show us the unfabricated reality prior to putting on the virtual reality headset known as the five senses. The five senses enable creativity and is absolutely not a mistake. Awakening is the experience of knowing both apparent 'worlds'--the unfabricated and the fabricated --simultaneously.

There is no entity called mind which is to be destroyed( Manonasa). Mind is only its content( vasanas). Steady abidance in the self is the true Bhakti/devotin. This burns up all the content( vasanas) of the mind. Then, mind , which is an expression of the mysterious energy ( Shakti) inherent in the self, disappears into the endless peace of the self.

In sleep, we return to the SELF due to exhaustion of the EGO, the false I, this is manolaya, temoprary suspension of the thought process. Permanent cessation of the mind, or Manonasa, comes only from annihalation of the ego, not its temporary suspension. This can only be acheived by the ego firstly overcoming its vasanas/desires for sense experiences in the mind,body and world and thereby to develop Bakhti/devotion for the self. Only then will self enquiry be fruitful. My only concern about Rupert's teaching is that by talking only about awareness and its defocusing in order to know the SELF, he is only really concerned with manolaya and not manonasa

Hi Alan I really hope you can answer this. :) Is abiding as awareness simply relaxing then resting in the truth that awareness is simply happening? But how can this be done without attention rising to say the sensation of the body?
@alanneachell90926 жыл бұрын
The resting in our true nature is not an understanding. We have to go to ourselves as awareness experientially. Relax body and mind. Pause thought for a moment and recognise what's left. What's left is a non objective knowing or awareness. This is who or what you are! Everything else comes and goes this knowing is ever present
@alanneachell90926 жыл бұрын
After sometime of recognition, body sensation or anything else can be there without loosing that recognition. It takes a little vigilance but the sense of peace gets more obvious right from the start.
@zain40194 жыл бұрын
Rupert explains this in his videos. Search “whoeverso knows themselves knows their lord Rupert spira”, it’s a meditation. It shows that all experience appears within awareness, so we can be aware of sensation, thought and perception while being aware of being aware. And then search up “Rupert spira pure knowing”, where we see that awareness literally makes up all of the world, so the world never has to take us away. The world shines with awareness, as Rupert spiras says.
