Influenced by his love for chant and classical music, composer and pastoral musician James Poppleton composed a setting of the shorter poetic text of the Sequence for the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. This combination of official text and music invites the assembly to prayerfully reflect on the mystery of the Eucharist.

This Sequence setting leads immediately into the Alleluia and verse before the Gospel, thus providing a seamless flow between the second and Gospel readings of the day.
