Thank you for this. Although I trained as a teacher half a century ago and have had 45 years' teaching experience, it was good to hear the basics again.

Do you have any examples? Ss participate in an activity in which they produce the language according to the presentation..... yeah, but what would that look like, exactly? Or here it comes.... at 13 min in or so.

A Presentation on the basics of CLT in which you well listed the principles of the approach and how to be put into practice. However, one o the main principles of CLT is that TTT should be reduced to the minmum while you gave no chance to the audience to intervene.

Thank you for passing by. I appreciate your willingness to provide constructive feedback to me. But I wish to clarify to you that I was lecturing here and I had to go through the lecture quickly as it was meant to be concise. I was not teaching English where normally your points would fit very well. All the best.

Good job sir but I'm getting confused a little bit , what is the method and which is the approach!!? I understood that CTL is the method that in turn it can be realized by using the PPP approach. am I correct? as I'm preparing for CELTA l need to understand these items clearly and deeply .many thanks

Telling the students what the function of the language is takes too long. it would be awesome if the students discover it for themselves so that they have a meaningful learning.

Sad that even now in the 21st century this guy has to keep saying,'' not just lecture''. Chalk and talk continues to prevail and students continue to fail to learn English in many parts of the world. Often the worst culprits are native speakers looking for an easy life abroad.
