The Community of Shippensburg

This video was created to highlight some of the points of interest in my town of Shippensburg, some of the major employers, and challenges the community faces.

I used to live in Shippensburg when I was kid. Went to James Burd Elementary in the 80's and lived on the corner of King and Earl St. Your video brings back memories of my childhood. Thank you!

July 2020, it has changed quite a lot.... The McDonald's was torn down...a new one is up. A Sheetz gas station and mini mark has been built next to it. Bowling alley, Kmart and Lowes has closed down. We had another Dollar General. We gotten a Starbucks. The public library has expanded and renamed. A lot of small businesses have closed due to the pandemic. We still see the Amish and Mennonites in town, doing their business. Somethings are still the same, others have changed. So is life. Thanks for this video

I lived in Shippensburg for 16 years from 2002-2018 all in 301 Farmington Dr across from giant

The borough changed a lot in the 5-some years i attended college there. In many ways it seems totally different from where it was in 2003. This is not a bad thing, though the borough and the college could still do some things to improve.

Well it’s still there! The number of warehouses (as alluded to in this video) has continued to increase. It looks like I accurately predicted that trend
