Three people, with different experiences of MS, take us on a daily journey we can all relate to - The Commute 🚗🚇🚌🏃‍♀️ Just as every person with multiple sclerosis is unique so is everyone's commute, whether you work from home, have the school run or brave the train, the commute represents a time of transition and reflection.
The documentary follows three insightful individuals who - despite their circumstances - are adapting so they can carry on living the way they want to.
Sarah, Dean and Marlo invite us into their lives, share their journeys, patient experiences of MS and explore what work means to them.

Would give it 5 stars if it also showed those of us w MS who work and commute with assistive devices. As a person with MS and who uses assistive devices I see these folks as making their lives harder not using a cane, scooter, walker, undergarments, etc. These devices could help w wobblyness, ability to get up from chairs, incontinence. These too are things those with MS must consider if we want to remain employable and active. Not just try to be the "same" as other employees, but rather adapt to the situation and use tools to make us more clever and move more easily through the world of life and work with MS. Keep fighting!

Would've been interesting to see the constant mental admin of travelling with MS be addressed. Don't drink an hour before travelling, make sure you're wearing dark trousers "just in case", do you have a spare set of pants and trousers in your bag if the worst happens? And painkillers in case the pain gets too much and a snack in case you feel light headed. And is the bag you're using a rucksack (not a satchel) so it doesn't smack into your cane as you walk? Got all that? Good! Now we can do the standard keys/ phone/ wallet etc list 😫

Unless you have ms like myself . It’s hard for anyone to imagine the physical and mental struggles that we deal with from day to day. Also, everyday is different . I don’t what to expect. How am I going to feel today ? To everyone struggling with this disease. God bless you we are strong ! And we will get through this.

These people in the video are luckier than others in still being able to move about without canes and walkers or even wheelchairs. This is a progressive disease that doesn’t care about a persons independence or well being. One year you may walk just fine and the next your in need of assistance devices and that’s hard to take because it affects your daily life.
