How that goes: 1) Perma for month 2) Balance teams see ambessa under performing for a long period of time, but ban rate is high so they hold off adjusting 3)People stop banning because after so long and being unable to really practice, people who get to play ambessa don't perform well 4)riot sees ban rate decline, buffs champ based on recent underperforming 5)play rate goes up, players learn her kit and how to combo, with overbuffs her winrate skyrockets 6)they spend 8-10 weeks nerfing and changing her kit, because they finally have real, competent data. Moral of the story is 90% of the playerbase isn't going to go crazy. What's usually responsible for the L's people take immediately after a new launch is players play the game without reading patch notes or seeing videos like this, and play against her without understanding anything about how she works. Then they blame the game for being unbalanced instead of their own ignorance. Just play with your brain, treat new champs with respect, and you'll do fine.

I stand corrected. She’s kinda meh in your average players hands. Insane for pros, but your average Joe won’t do much on her (it’s me, I’m the average Joe who fed or barely went even KDA in the 5 games I got on her today.) Most other bruisers stat check the shit out of her in lane, and offer more in a team fight and she gets smoked into irrelevance by the annoying ranged champs played top. Not worth the ban unless your high elo IMO

It's not a META guide, nor there is a META yet, it's about the champion so item builds and runes are something for people to think for themselves currently, I bet some data about that is going to appear on the mid-patch tier list since that's when they will include ambessa in it

a typycal bruiser runes setup you seen that they go for Conqueror after that go Triumph / Alacrity / Last Stand as for secondary from the Resolve Tree I would go normaly Second Wind for passive healing and sustain with Overgrowth. But because her ultimate passive is so interesting you can even go for Revitalize for extra healing, or Unflinching for extra Tenacity. Bone Plating is good too. But I for myself like the % regeneration a bit more. Than the Flat DMG Reduction of Bone Plating. + Bone Plating has an Cooldown. Second Wind does not. But that depends on your playstyle. You can of course go for the Inspiration Secondaries of Boots and Approach Velocity for more movement speed. It all depends on your playstyle and the oponent you are versing against.

It's not just the dashes, her kit has 30% Armor penetration and Q damage deal target %max HP to damage, W to block a huge tons of damage. This is Seth with dashes.

One very important thing, especially for spacing her Q and passive range, is that you can short dash with your passive. This makes it way smoother to autospace and to use your autos faster since you are not dashing as much, like lucian E.

Played a couple of games against her as Nasus top. Matchup feels similar to Mordekaiser. Avoid damage/trading early, focus on lasthits and outscale them by level 6. From there, you can pretty much run them down as you please.

I don't think she's going to end up as broken as people think with her lack of range and the decent refractory period if you miss any part of your combo, but I'm kinda excited to find out. I think she has a winning matchup vs other melee who don't have sustain, but ranged champs, control mages, and sustain bruisers like Nasus should keep her balanced I think.

She is good with Conq but I think Grasp is better for survivability for champ like Sett and Garen players who are not passive aggressive wimps, Renekton who can stun and make her waste key spells and even Teemo for when you want to jump on him, Q2 is not always guaranteed because its small hitbox or whatever. After your first main item post level 6 and her cd is lowest is where she pops off. Wasting her spells early game will cost your life and lane because she is slow and she she long cool downs, early game.
