I honestly think Bonnie is an interesting character. I find her funny and attractive. I'm hoping that we get to learn more about Bonnie's backstory. I've noticed with this story in particular it all just begins when Joe finds her as a stripper. I wonder how her childhood was like? We got to meet Joe's parents are we ever going to meet Bonnie's parents? Where did this dark and mysterious side of her come from actually? I hope that the show digs deep into it. I feel like she's one of the more underdeveloped characters.

I don't think Lois hates Peter. I think she gets very frustrated by some of the things he does, and that's understandable. However, in the show they make it pretty obvious they both love each other.

I assume the writers did that for conflict (more entertaining storylines) and it gives them more opportunities for jokes. The creators often use jokes about the secret rivalry in female relationships, mainly using Lois and Bonnie.

I'm gonna be honest there's a small part of me that sympathizes with Bonnie. Marriage is hard and taking care of your wheelchair bound husband has a lot of difficulties. Some partners can't handle the stress and work that comes with taking care of someone handicapped in the middle of the marriage. And when Joe becomes completely paralyzed that was her breaking point. Bonnie's actions aren't 100% justified but there's a small glimmer of understanding on her side

Well they went along with the idea she’s aware of them never aging in tv so her hatred grows. But she does the bare basics for him. Even making nice meals and cleaning him after he uses the restroom and taking care of her baby(which also never ages)

I agree completely. I really feel like if people were more empathetic towards caregivers, these deeply resentful relationships would be less common. People are so quick to judge others in situations like these. They’ll call them selfish for being “inconvenienced by someone else’s disability”. But they are still human beings. They often have to overwork themselves and sacrifice things that are important to them because they are responsible for another person’s survival. The fact that the person whom they’re caring for is physically worse-off than them doesn’t mean that their own feelings surrounding the situation are invalid. They’re still allowed to feel frustrated or exhausted or hopeless sometimes and having those emotions doesn’t make them a bad person. But when they try to talk about how hard it is on them, they often get judged, so they instead will keep it all bottled up inside, until it turns into this burning resentment. I think that if more people recognized their struggles and supported caregivers instead of shaming them, it would really ease a lot of the pressure.

Two things: one? Yes, absolutely I'd stick with Joe. 2? I think the reason Bonnie shamed Lois for her past is because Bonnie herself isn't ashamed of her own. I feel Bonnie is on the list of characters that got absolutely ruined and made pieces of crap in this show. They were so happy before and were possibly the tightest couple in the show. But then she devolved to hating her husband cause she has to help take care of him? Now don't get me wrong, I know it's not easy easy to take of a paralyzed person, even though Joe has proven many times he's very capable of taking care of himself, but Bonnie's actions in response to that responsibility makes me question if she ever truly loved Joe if him being paralyzed was all it took to shatter that love between them. There's also one big factor that make me hate her most of all, she's a massive hypocrite who can't really live without Joe. She slept around on Joe many many times, yet she gets furious when Joe cheats on her with one woman (Don't get me wrong, cheating is still a terrible sin). Bonnie literally has 0 right to be mad at Joe for what she does constantly. And as stated above, she hates taking care of Joe which is driving her to her murderous mindset towards Joe, but again it's been proven Joe is more than capable of taking care of himself on many occasions. He's an active cop for God's sake, and a good one at that. Even an episode with Joe telling Bonnie she's free to live her own life without taking care of him, and here she is still being bitter and petty. Not to mention, Joe's pretty much the main provider of the household cause Bonnie's got no job, and proven she can't make it very far without Joe. Hell probably why she was a stripper in the past. To wrap things up, I low key hate Bonnie, just another list of ruined Family Guy characters they ruin kind of for no reason.

Considering she was the one who tried to keep him by re-paralyzing him, she is at fault for most of their problems. It is not outright stated but Joe was originally paralyzed due to injuries to his legs, which is why he could still move them in certain circumstances and even regained full motion in them for a short period during a skiing accident with Kevin. However, after the leg transplant he is shot in the spine and can no longer move his legs at all and will not walk again without a transplant of the L4 vertebrae. This was most likely done so no one would ask why they don't get him another procedure as soon as new leg transplants are found. Furthermore, after his spine was shot, his legs deteriorated and are mostly bags of puss now. Even if he got a new vertebrae, he would still need new legs too. I do not know when this show will get canceled but I hope they pull a Futurama and give everyone a center episode that resolves most of their problems. Meg would get another blonde makeover, Joe and Bonnie would divorce for good, Brian would finally meet a proper girl and Quagmire would be put in jail permanently.

It's sad family guy used to be so good but not all the characters are so different from what they once were. Lois was a supportive mom and wife and she truly loved her family while Peter might have been considered to be dumb by many he had a good heart and often times tries to do what he could to support his family. I always loved Stewie even not considering he used be be more evil than gay. Meg was a character I could relate to. I have always felt like a fish out of water in my own family but in the end I still loved them. The one thing I feel that Meg had in the earlier seasons was her family despite what you see now they actually cared for Meg for the most part and Meg wasn't the butt of the joke or hated like she is portrayed today. Chris was always the one with the level head I was also considered to be stupid but he was an artist and had a big heart for animals and people. And Brian used to be the voice of reason now he's just a douchebag. I still watch Family Guy today but more prefer the earlier seasons

I am not sure, but I think the difference between Bonnie's and Lois's "adult perfromer" past is that Bonnie is willing to admit she was a dancer while Lois did all she could to hide it.

I always like Bonnie and Joe's relationship at first, it was kind of cool how Joe didn't let his wheelchair define him and stop him doing things he loved to do and Bonnie still loved and cared for Joe despite his disability, however as the show has slowly degraded Joe into someone who just seems depressed and in constant need of help (the opposite of what he was) Bonnie has become more evil and vindictive as Joe relies more on her and equally she's no longer held back by being pregnant. I actually really like that they made Bonnie more confident and sleazy shall we say and it's made her a lot more interesting in her interactions with Lois and she actually has some funny lines now however I really wish they'd properly repair her and Joe's relationship, like Maybe they could do a more Bonnie and Joe focused episode and as opposed to other where status quo seemingly resumes they instead actually have a more loving and invested relationship and hopefully Kevin and Suzie can be involved to show a complete family unit, to the stage where it could maybe piss the Brown's or/and Griffin's off.

i like that their relationship degraded over the course of the show, resentment can build over the years especially with Bonnie having to take care of both Joe AND Suzie, not to mention all the messy codependency that is bound to occur in a relationship like theirs. its messy and i LOVE it
