Ugh. He deserves a ring, if not for ill-fated moments. 1997-98 Pacers has the potential to unseat the Bulls. 1998-99 Pacers went a bit complacent and failed to halt the improbable momentum of the Knicks. 1999-2000 Pacers missed Antonio Davis, in addition to the Blazers' meltdown (they had better chance opposite them). 2003-2005 Pacers could be so close, if not for Ron Artest's volatile tendencies. He should've come out of retirement and joined the 2007-08 Celtics. He cited he was "not in playing shape" and too late to regain such before training camp.

28:05 Reggies build allowed for crazy insane endurance. The more muscle you have the more oxygen it takes to fuel the muscles... Reggies lean build allowed him to use less resources to go on. I was a hockey player and grew up in the 90s. I loved playing basketball because head games were so much a part of the sport. Hockey chirps are less accurate or scary. The hockey player is a bit crazier and violent though. Guys back in the 90s used to live to try to talk even in pick up. I would tell them “you have about 3 minutes to back off or else you’ll be bleeding”. I wasn’t very good at basketball so my passes were always inaccurate. One of them would always find the face of the guy who wouldn’t shut up. I used to challenge guys to take it to the hoop so I could hip check. If you say you’re gonna do it though… you do it. They don’t take it to the hoop for long. 😅
