i was a 10 year old kid watching sunday afternoon "Looney Toons" cartoons from 12-3 and then my NBC Detroit feed switched to Knicks v Pacers east playoffs 9 points in 8 seconds, and then was sold, i would ride and die with Miller and the Pacers. I was grounded from watching ECF in 98 when Bulls won in 7 games because I threw the remote at the TV. soon to be informed by my mother its just sports and you are not on the team. I hate KB for his game 5 Finals winning shot which basically ended that series,, and cried and when he retired with Larry Brown calling a time out on the Pistons floor to have him walk off to applause . It is always Miller Time in my heart. WAY ahead of his time.

I've spent most of my life in the south in Louisiana/Texas but for 5 years as a kid I lived in Terre Haute from '97-'01 which is when Miller Time was in full swing. Especially when the whole state basically shut down when the Pacers played in the Finals. Long story short Reggie Miller and the Pacers even as a southern guy are the reasons why I feel in love with basketball. I know what football and baseball means to Louisiana and Texas but I truly think basketball means more to Indiana.
