From my experience from doing these combos in training mode it seems like the up/down + rush after dashing in the combos can actually make the damage worse if you don't time the follow up correctly. Doing a regular rush attack after the dash deals the exact same amount of damage while being easier to perform imo. I could be wrong though, I've only tested the inputs the characters I use

@@yaboi414 not sure about the damage exactly but the reason you do them is to mix things up and make it harder to just spam block on regular attacks.

@@alsteiner5023 they are the names of the buttons. In the pinned comment you can see which button is which, or on the controls screen in game. It's telling you exactly how to do it regardless of what platform you're on.

Most of these are general use and easy enough to pull off consistently. So in terms of when you want to use them, it's basically whenever you can. Just keep in mind you need to mix up what you're doing to keep your opponent guessing, you don't want to just spam one of these over and over. The flair grab ones give your opponent more chances to defend, I'd say for those you want to use them when you just feel like ramping up the style or if you're confident your opponent isn't good enough to deal with teleport timing.

There is no rush up melee hit, it's up plus hold square/X but just up+square does a simple rush attack
