great video. I was inspired to make a blender response video "animating faster with mirroring poses and walk cycles in blender"

hello owen, do you have the full version of this video... at times I have the impression of not understanding what you are doing. thank you very much for what you do.
@queengabby97074 ай бұрын
could you please please please make a video showing how to incorperate a run cycle into an animation sequence. How do you do the blocking for an animation where you know a run will take place at some point? Do you do it over manually or can you use a pre-existing run cycle?

this is so good i dont know why it has so few views..it deserves more!! 4 min in and there is so much information...although i have to admit that im manually "mirroring" the poses because i dont have animbot..does anyone know of any good alternatives?
@owenferny2 ай бұрын
Thanks so much! You could always check out aTools, its the previous version of Animbot, which was free, I remember the mirror tool working well

Thank you for the video! This is helpful to my workflow. I have encountered an issue though. When I close and reopen the file, the character's geometry is invisible (original and duplicates). The character is referenced in. Any of the character's geometry I did not duplicate (extra bits that are part of a different character using the same rig) are still visible.
@owenferny7 ай бұрын
Yeah I usually delete the instances before I save to avoid issues like this, you might have to transfer the anim to a new rig to fix it
@AllisonGehrer7 ай бұрын
@@owenferny I'm glad it saves the animation data. That's what matters most. So I was able to figure out what worked for me... the geo in my rig was in a group, if i selected the group for duplicate special instead of the actual geo-everything worked great!
@cleaf15927 ай бұрын
For some reason when i do the trick with the master control in the anim layer to add the translate z to constant it doesn't make him walk forward he just keep lagging back to the original position. Do you know what could be causing this by any chance? Also when i do just the constant for post infinity nothing happens
@owenferny7 ай бұрын
How strange, you've turned infinity constant on and it doesn't work? you don't have a stray key somewhere? did you end up fixing it?

are u using a wacom intuos for animation? do you feel it to be more efficient as compared to animating with mouse?
@owenferny7 ай бұрын
Yes I'm using a wacom, I think I'm faster with it and I can definitely animate for longer before my wrist starts to hurt compared to a mouse!
