One thing that can be said about Gundam is that the franchise doesn't hesitate to show that war is despicably tragic regardless of which side a person fights for (neutral included); casualties are to be expected in war, no exceptions.

I remember reading the Gundam Wing Endless Waltz Manga and seeing the parody of War in the pocket. I rhen wanted and then proceeded to watch the thing it was based on as an ignorant kid and it end with me sad because of the ending, kind of like how Dinobot died multiple times pulling a heroic sacrifice alongside Armada Starscream.

My 3 favorite parts are Hygogg's made their appearance to take out the GM cold district, Kampfer was launched into action and took out the Guncannon mass production along with GM Sniper 2, and Zaku 2 Kai dealt with Gundam Alex alone.
