Funnily enough I met like 10 pikachus total and I'm just so used to fighting pikachu bc of the previous meta that it comes naturally to counterplay it atp. The downsides of being too dominant is you're everyone's target. Same thing happening with mewtwo causing the rise of gyarados and golem.

Cause pikachu didnt get a lot of support and got hard countered by so many pokemon with this set. Tauros, golem, marshadow, gyrados, scolipede, pidgeot even.

I used pika more cos it was as op last set, I felt that it can die easier to more things cos lots of mons hit can 120hp

Pika was always solid, especially with the increase of all the non ex decks( Blaine, golem, arbok wheezing) And the drudagon, 1 gio and the pika 1 shots it.

Aerodactyl EX and Machamp EX are putting up similar performances to Golem. They're getting into the top 10 of decently sized tournaments, I wouldn't be surprised if one of them puts up a first place sometime before the next expansion. My money's on Aerodactyl EX, because it has a great matchup into both Golem and Machamp, and it has better play into Moltres EX decks.

Tbh Gyarados has a good matchup against everything else but Pikachu. Probably gonna be the top deck for a while, Mewtwo being a close second.

Not really, gyrados is fine against pikachu. Can oneshot everything in a pikachu deck. The only thing u have to be careful of is zebstrika. Thats about it. Like before MI, playing a water deck is really bad against pikachu if u miss misty, now with gyrados it’s pretty even regardless of misty.

Pika doesn't even do anything to gyarados, by the time he finishes with drudigon, he is cooked. Only threat is a electabuzz or a zeb to snipe ur magikarp, but i mean, that's just unlucky if u don't get gyarados and they tried to do that.

Yeah, Gyarados ex deck is just specifically not good against deck containing sniper. So definitely its not limited to Pika deck, like mentioned in the video (forgot timestamp)

I've always prefer centiskorch, ninetales, moltres ex to charizard and arkanine. I tend to beat most charizard decks with it since no attacking ex pokemon means they need to get more of my pokemon, or find a way to kill my moltres wall.

I would like for you to comment on this Gyarados/Chatot deck I saw some days ago on Volkins channel, dont know whos to credit but huge shoutout best deck idea imo since deck release. Ive been workin taking out leave since you cannot discard supporters and add xspeed, and also I believe pokedex is a MUST w pokeball combo and chatot way too good, also fossil ratio I would lean to aerodactyl and omanyte, Ive been playing around fossil and basics amounts, 1dactykex or 1 cmon dactyl etc, and also been considering maybe 1 articuno ex, I only have 1 gyara ex and I run out of steam but Im on a Id say 40 to 80 ratio wr I got my ribbon with that Like if you like for NBB to see
