I grew up loving true point guards and post players. This tutorial helps ALOT. And these moves are crisp!!. The only thing is for me the left thumbstick doesn't operate jab steps n stuff. The right stick does but this helped alot!! Thanks again. I got a zion build with 90 post control, 99 dunk, 95 str, with 80 inside, and 80 mid shooting. I'm about to abuse this .

I had to change it to Pro and increase the half lengths and I can beat them and get the 12 points with MJ it’s just beating them by 15 which is the hard part. The all star team never misses! Makes it so tough. When you get sometime I would recommend trying it out you might think its cake haha

Are these moves really good? I see alot of them end up with the defender (or two) still on top of you contesting the shot unlike your slashing videos where you blowby the cpu for a free dunk or layup.

HOF AI is a cheat code in the post on defense, so the moves are good for getting the first reaction, but since it's the post and your defender is close, you'll need to tie in a second or third move to have much better success. I'd say in this video there are three elite moves that you can use to great effect regardless of defense, the rest need more combos because the first move is meant to just generate a reaction. I do think the post game needs to be more dynamic though, but 23 takes a step in the right direction.

Kev how exactly are you speed boosting out of the triple threat position i always get a slow burst animation

Could you describe which position you're having the most difficulty with? Out of the post, and after facing up (while still holding L2), you still got to use right stick spin rotations to launch out of the face-up post pivot positions. Now if it's a standard triple threat launch out of the perimeter, it's a feel thing. After the jab step, my launches are almost immediately after tapping the RS. So hold Turbo, and then after flicking the RS to jab in any direction, hold R2 and push the LS in the direction of your launch immediately.

If you're referring to the jab and drive middle at 1:40 - 1:44, I just don't show the spin command. But if you want to drive middle out of a post pivot jab step you just rotate the RS to the same side. Launching out of anything in the post is done by spin move inputs on the right stick. Using the left stick to drive out of the post will result in post exits. Post drives to the middle or post drives to the baseline are controlled by spin inputs.

I absolutely have used post moves on real people. People are generally worse defenders than the AI, you should have an easier time using all of this on people. The quick spin may be the drop step, but yes, for the quick spins it's usually square square for me. There are some weird instances too where I launch into some escape jumper close to the basket, but if you double tap square quick enough it shouldn't happen!

The post pivot is inconsistent. You can press up for instance and get different animations each time.

I’m working on part 2, and I have to say I agree brother. It’s much more difficult because of the contact and your distance from your defenders, got to be really great with the setup and then the execution.
