Little bit of misinformation regarding GW2’s zombified maps. GW2 was actually made because of the map “seeds of time” which took so much production costs and budgeting, that the team decided to make GW1’s expansion into a whole new game. The map that was near completion is brain street, with docks and other maps having some remnant models. This was confirmed by an ex map developer on GW1. Kind of sucks we never really god to see the zombified maps ATALL, bar aqua. :(

Also, there a lot more PvZ games that got never released, even in Zhongguo, itself, like a PvZ game which is meant to teach Chinese kids how to write pinyin, which are English phonetic sounds used to pronounce Chinese words, like the pinyin of 冰淇淋 is "bing qi lin" which is "ice cream" in Chinese. Also, it's true that imps were meant to be kid zombies. Concept art shows it. But, I believe the kids were replaced by imps to make the game less violent and more kid friendly. PvZ also has lots of mods, especially made by Chinese developers, like the Hard Mode mod and the Todal Death Edition. There's also a WeChat exclusive PvZ game called "PvZ: Original Edition" which is the original game but with lots of stuff like new art and what not. Even new game modes. Also, zombie in Chinese closely translates to "jiangshi" which refer to those hopping vampires/ghosts. I can tell why people don't like Deadplants.exe because of the creepypasta clichés and what not. It's also most likely inspired by Sonic.exe which is a poorly written creepypasta. Just like Deadplants.exe, it too was removed from the creepypasta wiki and moved to the trollpasta wiki. Sonic.exe pioneered the .exe genre which are those dumb walking simulator games with loud sounds and cheap jumpscares. They both have dumb protagonists, too, like they both know something is wrong with the respective games they were playing, but they keep playing the game instead of refusing it. Also, the fact that Deadplants ruined the immersion by using the word "creepypasta" itself. U53RDV was also written as a creepypasta where someone was playing PvZ, and the person inserted the name into the name selection which lead to the developer mode which is the cursed version he's playing. After the guy's game crashing, he got blue screened and then managed to reboot his computer, after that he received an email by an allegedly PvZ developer who goes by the name U53RDV, who wanted to make the game dark, and inserted that code function as an act of revenge or something. He also wrote down that he designed the email so that as soon as the narrator opens the email. The email will also download a virus. However, the user managed to get rid of the virus on time. There's a lot more to talk about.
