Jacob had complete victory. But, because Esau changed and united with his younger brother, both achieved victory and the foundation on the family level was complete. Next, was the providence on the tribe and nation, which was Abraham's, Isaac's and Jacob's descendants, who became the Israelites. That would eventually be fulfilled where God could send the messiah. THAT'S THE COMPLETE STORY.

"Absolutely! The story of Jacob and Esau isn't just about sibling rivalry; it's about reconciliation and divine providence. Their journey paved the way for the nation of Israel and, ultimately, for the Messiah's coming. It's incredible to see how God's plan unfolds through generations. Thanks for sharing this profound perspective!"

Issac was the chosen child because he was the child God promised the descendance. When Sarah and Abraham took things into their own hands, they had a child that was not promised. But since God had promised to bless all of Abraham's seed, God blessed Ishmael with descendance. However, the catch was that Ishmael's line would forever believe they were the chosen because Ishmael was born first. He was not the chosen child God promised. That is why the war in the middle east will rage on till the end because the Muslims think they are God's chosen and that the promised land was their land

It is a story of the past that means it is historical. On the contrary, historians unanimously declare these accounts were mythology.

About the first born to be serving the second born.. I think it is also a prophetic reflection of the coming of the Messiah the first Adam and second Adam which is Jesus.. The first will be the last and the last will be the first...

I believe irrespective of what the brothers did right or wrong, Jacob was the chosen one from the beginning. Every single person that was chosen by God to fulfill His will was flawed in someway, some adulterers, womanizers ,murders etc.

Absolutely, you're touching on a profound theme in religious narratives: the idea that divine choices often intersect with human imperfections. Throughout biblical history, we see that God's chosen ones often had significant flaws. Despite their imperfections, God used them to fulfill His purposes. This underscores the importance of God's grace and the idea that He can work through flawed individuals to accomplish His will.

Edomite yes and Edom means Red. Esau was a red head and very hairy man. That’s how he got the name Edom. Then became Edomite.
