you can already play the beta, theres incounters with an entity but it isnt alive. it doesent moves but it watches. it is said it always watches you from behind, you cant see it but its always there. when you do see it it doesent move.

Just played The Complex: Found Footage for the first time yesterday and it really blew me away. It's the first game to really understand the backrooms. The heavy filters replicating camcorder recording give it that incredible found footage look that makes it seem almost real. That's the appeal of the backrooms. Not the monsters, not the jump scares. It's the immersion. Realism and subtlety are a huge part of that. It's that sense of plausibility, that eerie feeling that these places are real and terrifying to simply exist in. Most backrooms style games either lack the realistic graphics to achieve that feeling, or they rely too heavily on monsters. This is perfect. Even though I know I'm playing a video game, The Complex feels like I'm still watching real footage, and it's an incredible feeling. Expedition will be getting my money on day 1.

I have beat this game like 7 times already, and I enjoy myself each time I play it. The atmosphere is amazing, sounds are pretty good, and that feeling of being totally alone is wonderful. Sometimes I do wish for a good chase, but its a great game without them. 💯

Can confirm (without spoilers), it's great. If you were hoping for a survival/horror game, this isn't it; but if you really liked the first game and are happy to have basically the same thing but with a very minor aspect of story/cutscenes to go with and an expanded map that has areas you will recognize, this is the game for you.

What I really want is a long backrooms game without monsters and without camcorder filter. And it should be widescreen and not 4:3 like "The Complex: Found Footage". But honestly it's the best backrooms game. I just hope in this one they will at least give us the option to turn off the camcorder filter. And hopefully a widescreen mode.
