forgot to mention Denon's ties / affiliation with Sony?
@AdvancedkidКүн бұрын
how come your earlier video about Sony had an American voice? Are you two difgerent individuals runnin' the same channel? I'm confused.

Your voice is probably fine. Read one of your scripts- for one of your videos- yourself, and viewers might prefer it to the uncanny sound of a non-human narrator, such as the one you've gone with here.

This film is a good representation of the zeitgeist. Till 2000 it is about technic and products. From then on it is about who owns what and the profit of the shareholders.

Finally, this includes an explanation on how Denon assumed the Nippon Columbia trademark. Great video.

Columbia - CBS which would later be fully owned by Sony.

Got a setup right at this time with a top end Denon turntable, a Denon cartridge, and Denon stepup transformer. As for their electronics, not had any.

The Denon direct drive turntable I have has excellent wow and flutter specs so these are inaudible. The aluminum platter has a magnetic strip on the perimeter read by what looks like a tape head for the servo system. If that strip got damaged or demagnetized, you maybe would have a 35 pound paperweight.

I've never knew the impact off Denon. Very intresting. Maybe an item about the Studer / Revox brand. Think that would be intresting aswell.

This is a very informative video, Denon is a giant in the audio sector, not being an AV fan I strictly adhere to its audio outings and especially phono cartridges having passed from various guises of the venerable DL-103, the superior DL-304 and DL-305 and the absolutely fantastic DL-1000A, their best ever cartridge and one of the greatest ever produced period, it's like real musicians being in the room. Japanese audio rules.

I have a Denon PMA-500V amplifier, and it really has a great sound...I'm old school and I'm not a fan of AV receivers, I prefer to have independent components, all from the 80s, radio, record player, deck, cd player...all from the time when quality was the standard
