I totally love the Huniepop puzzles. And I don't (just) mean because of the attractive anime females. Puzzle games like Candy Crush bore me to death. In HP, the strategy with the gifts and stuff is a lot of fun. I liked finding OP combos. And for that reason, only that reason, I have 68 hours in it on Steam.

Huniepop is a genuinely god tier puzzle game, and huniepop 2 was so much fun! I liked that they didn’t take themselves too seriously for the plot. For 2, I thought the pairs lacked believable chemistry really stood out, because the ones with chemistry really shine. Edit bc you legit blew my god damn mind that nora is related to kyanna. I am a fool lol

Even as a gay man I adored this game. I wanted to play because I liked how the puzzles looked, but I was blown away by the music, the girls and of course the puzzles, such a fun game!

i loved this video. i wish with the "roast" title it had been a bit harsher, because in my memory of the first game there were a lot of really cringe lines that for a lot of people could cross the line from funny offensive to genuinely offensive. like the asian fetishization shit with aiko, for example, when kyu straight up says she has yellow fever. yikes. but i think there's a case to be made for satire. i haven't played huniepop 2 yet but i imagine theres similar lines with the "new" nonwhite characters. if not, disregard me, but come on, its huniepop. i guess what im saying is it would have been really funny and relevant to the message of the video if you had roasted some of the "bad" dialogue as well as the inoffensive stuff. once again tho i loved this video and ill probably buy huniepop 2 because of it. i played 1 years ago and forgot they were even making a 2.

I'm the complete opposite when it comes to these types of games that don't take themselves seriously. 1. It's not a good excuse to have lazy, horrible writing 2. It's just boring. Give me something with actual substance not "Dude, sex and drugz and tuna smelling Vagina, ecks dee" for my porn games.

Monster Girl Quest (My all time favorite series), SHRIFT (A really good one, for the most part) Sengoku Rance (Rance series can be a hit or miss with me, but SR is probably my favorite Translated one) and, while not the best series, I do enjoy the SEQUEL games (Literally titled "SEQUEL")

I'm well aware your video is mostly satire and for the memes but you are really missing the flaws of the mechanics, I really couldn't care less about the plots or the porn of Huniepop, it felt like your comments were under-detailed, unlike your synopsis. Also, the jab at the cup size is a bit weird after realising the artist's art had evolved over time and with that change the depiction of their cup size was more accurate to Ryans vision. I'd like to add introductions are different to the 'talking' phase of the girl, I felt the writing in this regard wasn't too unrealistic and those kinds of topics do come up in a relationship. Good video but lacking in areas.

If it helps the cup size line was totally just for the meme. Like the idea behind it was just the comedy of harping on a detail like that as if it was actually important when it wasn't. Is your problem that I didn't go in depth during the gameplay part enough? If that's the case, that's actually kind of funny, because I remember when I first tried writing this video I went *way* more in depth during the gameplay segment and just scrapped almost all of it because I felt it was too long and needlessly detailed.

@@switch1e I totally get your cup size thing for the meme. I was mostly jabbing for the fun of it. My real problem with the video was the lack of depth in the gameplay. Sorry if that wasn't clear. I personally find that kind of breakdown to be more interesting for someone who already knew the game. Baggage, stamina, gift usage and piece setups. Comparing that to Huniepop 1 would have also been cool. To me at least those are what make this game relevant in Match 3 and the Hentai Porn game scene. Shame the direction made you limit your discussion on the gameplay. I'm sure you would have had some interesting takes on the subject.

@@pacmanpowerghost interesting. I appreciate the feedback. There’s definitely a lot of cool discussion that could be had about the whole system because I do think it’s a really fun reimagining of the first game’s style of gameplay. I wish I kept the original draft I had!
