Its boostin the 1000 hrz range pretty wide, if your missing some presence i would use this for sure. If you absolutely want the texture it offers, then i would eq some mids out so its not as abrasive to the ears

The 260 feels like it adds some harmonics to round out the sound of everything; not sure if it's a worthwyhile buy for most over the plugin but if hardware is in your budget and workflow, seems like a good piece to have
@DevvonTerrell2 күн бұрын
Def noticed the roundness your referring to. I see people perceiving the "brightness" the plugin is adding as a good thing but in my head im feeling harshness that i dont want. The way the hardware is grabbing things feels alot more musical and pleasing. It feels like its adding harmonics that feel round and fuller as oppose to harsher mids that i hear the plugin giving

This is good however, based on your audio examples, I like it more as a parallel compressor. The DBX160 is very bitey and grabs fast so we have to be careful using it tracking vocals especially when belting or going into falsettos. Dope video nonetheless. I need that Audioscape plug haha!
@HelpMeDevvon2 күн бұрын
this is exactly why i did the parallel examples! Love your take. Feel like in modern time i wanted to give people a chance to also use it for what its known for heavily!

Just got the plug-in from Soutube. It's great in parallel. I do prefer the SSL X-Valve compressor to the vca comp tho. It's aggressive but a little more modern. The bass example shines through for sure. I might need to try that instead of the 1176 on nuke 😂

It reminds me of the DBX 160

I knew A was the Audioscape because of two things. The mids were slightly more pronounced, and also the high end wasn't pronounced as the Waves dbx 160.
@DevvonTerrell2 күн бұрын
to me the hardware was much smoother. The waves one had a bit of harshness and the hardware sounded a bit bigger sounding. The plugin felt a bit smaller to me
@marcusgarveysonКүн бұрын
wave sound better to me because its smoother , audio scape add too much upper mids which cause harshness

Audioscape is great - they make great stuff "and things of this nature" ...also, im sorry but when you say stereo "whiff" it drives me crazy. Its stereo "width" not stereo "whiff". "Whiff" is a brief passing odor in the air ....WIDTH is what youre looking for my man 🤣
