This is awesome. I have been researching how to get my hands on experience in a Recording Studio and This seems close enough to actually having that connection in the Industry and knocking out those studio hours if you don't have the actual equipment to do so. Everything done digitally in DAW compliments the workflow. Still trying to figure out that board back there.

why not use the ssl for monitoring for headphones, instead of having the buffer in Protools ruin the timing? That's how I have it set up... the vocalist has no need to hear any delay whatsoever.
@hauntedbytheliving11757 ай бұрын
Exactly my thoughts as a console guy… it’s likely he understands that most people don’t have a console and will need to know how to fix the latency… or perhaps he has no hardware reverb for the singer’s performance

@@hauntedbytheliving1175 you can see a Lexicon Reverb fixed in the console, so he could use that one for sure

Hi Thomas, i have a small question about your settings for monitoring. What is your round trip latency when you use 64 samples in Pro Tools. I get a roundtrip latency of 5.4 milliseconds at 64 samples and i feel this is to much for singing. thank you.

Awesome Video , I noticed most people like to keep the threashold on 10 in the cl 1b for tracking , do you believe the same can apply if I used the plugin version in the mixing phase?
@thomasvopstal7 ай бұрын
Thanks! The threshold is completely dependent on input level and amount of compression you want to apply. I’d recommend not sticking to a specific value on the knob itself, but try to listen to where the amount of compression sounds best.
