Pda ahead of it's time....would take 14 years for this technology to Catch on and become popular by to the masses. By the time I phone was released in '07 ..many advancements were being made and applied. A Much more computer literate population was finally ready to embrace what was just a bit too advanced for everyday practicality in 1993. .

I have always wanted to attend the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) that takes place annually in Las Vegas NV, but I have never been able to leave my hometown at the time that the CES takes place.

That was a outstanding and entertaining show! I especially loved watching the Super Nintendo Super FX Chip, the Panasonic 3DO, and Pioneer LaserActive that was "Coming Soon" in that show! The 3DO and Pioneer LaserActive were my favorite systems of 1993 that I bought back in the day, and I REALLY wished that I could have been at the CES shows in the 90's due to the amazing VideoGame Consoles and tech being displayed back then. Sadly I was not old enough to go to them, so I had to deal with my uncle being lucky enough to go to them, and bring me back as much neat little schwag that he could find at each booth, and I also got to watch little bits of video he captured there on VHS as well, but I did not get to see much at all, and this was far more entertaining to watch than anything my uncle ever brought back home with him, and I want to thank you so much for showing this video on youtube! If you have or know where I can find more videos that show the CES shows for the rest of the 90s beginning with 1990 moving forward, PLEASE do let me know so I can see all of them! Also, I would love to see the ones from the 00s as well, but the 90s is where my heart is at when it comes to game consoles and technology as a whole.

+TheNewFakk28 You still have the LaserActive?
@TheNewFakk288 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have 3 of them actually, I also have all the Pioneer LaserActive PACs, all of them I recapped myself recently so they last for years longer without damaged from leaking of surface mount caps, I have 2 LaserActive 3D goggles with the 3D Goggles Adaptor, and I own about 2/3rd of the LaserActive LD Library as well, even though I am still looking for some of the LaserDisc games, and I lost my PC PAC. :)

In Canada, the 'Green Machine' was what they called the ATM machines for TD Bank in the 1990s and maybe the 1980s (before my time). I have a coin bank stylized like a TD 'Green Machine'.

We'd had 'interactive movies' for a good 10 years by that point, one of them was called Dragon's Lair and it kinda-sorta sucked as a game, if not for the novelty of it, which I guess hadn't quite worn out by that point?

3DO what a joke. I knew when it came out it was waaaay too costly. Later we found out just what a failure it was. Wooo rail shooters on CD. Everyone loves rail shooters...right? Right? No? That FX chip was a big pos ripoff too. Stuck to normal games and kept Genesis as my favorite.A pocket fax where you have to type the entire thing out. Dont people actually think these things through?? POS.
@oldtwinsna83474 жыл бұрын
I remember the ones who could initially afford the 3DO were a bunch of old guys who had such money. Most of these demographics are ones who grumble and complain a lot, so the reputation points went down quite a bit with this ones who actually bough it. I know it got cheaper over time but then the war was lost with Sony.
