If you don't talk to your kids, someone else will, and their intentions may not be any good, at all.

Thank you for making this known. I have a friend whose exhusband was into this. He was in his 40s at the time, not a kid, and he was into porn. Youngsters need to be taught at a young age about respect and what sex is really about. Our culture needs to go into a direction where talk about these things is accepted and normal so young people learn. understand

This is indeed an upsetting issue. It can’t help that we had a President, and now Former President, who is talked about everyday regarding his relationship with a porn star.

Thanks for bringing up this taboo subject. The first time I saw strangulation during sex was actually on a movie called, "Rising Sun" (1993), when I was a senior in college. I thought it was just a kinky sex practice, so it is alarming to hear that this has become normalized. I might have seen the aftermath of such a sexual encounter years ago. I used to frequent a Starbucks and noticed that one young female barista seemed to be beaten up quite badly and exhausted at work, but I didn't feel it was my place to probe into her private life. There definitely was an awkward vibe in the workplace that day, with a lot of strange silent glances. I knew there was another male barista who was pursuing her, but again, it was none of my business. I'll never know what happened, but they were both in college at the time, so maybe they hooked up, and something like this happened. I felt bad for her. It's also helpful to know of the possible side effects of strangulation. It never occurred to me that this practice can have cumulative brain-damaging effects for girls and women, much like concussions can result in cumulative damage for boys from contact sports. I've been punched in the head quite a few time during kickboxing. Based on "The Rising Sun", I just thought that people have their kinks, and as long as nobody dies accidentally (like in the movie), then it's okay, but not advisable...? I've had decades of martial arts training, so strangulation and choke holds were a part of the curricula. However, we would always tap out once we knew that we couldn't escape, could feel the oxygen start to get cut off, the lights started to fade, or if we definitely couldn't breathe. I've even seen a student black out by accident, as the instructor was talking. I think it would be a good idea for women to train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, because having a good ground game is important - whether she is on the bottom or on top, or in any other position. It was so amusing to watch a petite female purple belt put to shame a bumbling heavier male, while they were rolling around on the mat sparring. Learning how to escape and break chokeholds is important - even for men too. This would be the last resort as the insurance policy. Of course, talking about safe sexual practices ahead of time is ideal, but one never knows when a partner can lose all self-control during the heat of the moment...

Choking cuts off oxygen to the brain. IDK why that’s so difficult to figure out.

That's not something you have to teach. It's our nature. If they can't connect in intimacy; that's a red flag for psychopathy. Have them tested for genetic psychopathy.

@@CeciliaKreplakThe only reason males go along with religion, is because it promotes women as being beneath them.

Isn't choking in domestic violence the red flag signaling he has transitioned into the homicidal discard phase?

Yes, it is one of the major signs. Remember that a woman in Alex Murdaugh case said he chocked her, later killed his wife and son

Literally any act can be taken too far. Research, trust, self-control, communication & safety are key. There is nothing wrong with spicing things up. And remember, the difference between a felony and a great time is consent ;)

Got news for y’all… I had a good ol’ country boy roommate, who every one loved so much, back in early 90. He told me of all the stupid things they did to entertain themselves as young as 7, one of those was choking each other until they passed out. Evidently there’s either a rush or a high, similar to huffing paint. If that wasn’t bad enough, it gets worse, but I’m not able to get around the YT censor.

Gotta be honest I started this 15 years ago and surprisingly MANY women dug/dig it... HOWEVER, the, " checking, " was never a impede BREATHING choking. It's always been neutral or liked. Over well DOZENS of women.

@@JanaduChildren are exposed to porn before third grade. The traditional form of intercourse seems bland. Parents are not having the appropriate conversations about sex. If it's mentional...it is manageable.
