This is a great movie and each artist deserves attention... I got reminded of my own parents who were NOT there for me especially when my husband was undergoing chemotherapy treatment.... abusing and isolating us adding to more tension.. Having a father as the one portrayed in this film is a luck and blessing...

It's a beautiful movie though I didn't feel convinced about a couple of turns. One: sherin was much loved by Alan even though he was in a relationship with another woman. There is not even a little strain in their relation. So it's not convincing when Alan decides to ignore her accident. No one would do that unless you had utmost hate for that person. Second: The father loves his son in law, but for the mental trauma that he is going through, his forgiving of Alan seems too simplified. After all, it's not a small mistake he did to think that it was not intentional. Having said that, the performances are top notch. Direction , screenplay too

I believe the reason for Alan to ignore the accident was because of the threat Sneha made about revealing their affair to Sherin, there are two reasons for him to do this , firstly he might’ve wanted to keep a clean image in front of society and his son that he only married again because he’s a widower and for his son and this would clear his image of not being a cheater , secondly he might’ve not wanted Sherin to find out he cheated because that would break her even more so he probably came to the conclusion that if Sherin dies she would not have to go through the pain of realising the sick truth. I do firmly believe that Alan has some kind of psychotic problem because of how easily he came to the conclusion of murdering his wife the mother of his son.
