The CONOR BENN Clomifene saga just won't go away...

Once again, Conor Benn finds himself suspended indefintely by the British Boxing Board of Control, following a statement by General Secretary, Robert Smith. With UKAD's and the BBBofC's appeal against the National Anti-Doping Panel's decision to lift Benn's suspension a success, the suspension has been reinstated; Benn has, in effect, been "re-suspended".

Just sick of it all. Sick of how it’s been handled by all parties, sick of hearing he’s coming back then a new spanner in the works, sick of hearing ‘it’s an ongoing legal case so we can’t talk about it’. I had high hopes for Benn. At first I thought the silver spoon stuff made him scarier - you’ve got to be a complete nutcase to do such a difficult job and with such ferocity when you clearly don’t need the money! Guilty or innocent, Benn is sadly of a generation where that social media response he received might’ve had a much bigger effect than someone who didn’t grew up in the midst of all that stuff. I do believe all the suicide stuff and I think the whole mental stuff he’s been through with all this has aged him quite a bit. I just want to never hear about this shit again whether that means Benn just retires and enjoys being a dad and husband (insert Tony Bellew joke here), or we just fully put it to bed, he serves his time, all boards etc are full satisfied and if he ever pops again he gets a lifetime ban.

Eddie Hearn will pull the plug on him. Fast eddie thought this would all be resolved pretty straightforwardly and with Benns big name there would be still lots of money left to squeeze out of him. This ain’t going anyway anytime soon, and if Hearn can replace you he will and he won’t wait about.

Yet if another promoter was trying to sell the public that crap he’d be the first to call it out. Now the Saudi deal has come along basically any fighter that hasn’t got the profile the credibility (like Benn for the ped issues) or the practicality to fight in Saudi in big events is disposable. Benn will be chewed up and spat out like nothing

When I look at his bone structure the way he’s built he should be fighting at lightweight or at most 140. All of a sudden we’re meant to believe he’s a bloody middleweight

Oh dear, old Eggs Benedict is in a sticky, stinky situation.. You're bang in with so many of your comments, he's in a load of crap and it's pretty much all his fault, I mean he can say what he wants, but he went from being a lightish puncher, who'd been hurt and beaten (despite getting the win) by an unranked fighter, then all of a sudden he's got bombs in his hands.... And a body that within a few months becomes heavily muscled.... Then, he tests positive and the thunderous power suddenly deserts him... If that ain't fishy I don't know what is.
