I've always adored the satin-smooth Contax shutter, whether on my RTS, more than thirty years ago, or my present 139Q ( part of my now indulgent set of 35mm film cameras).

The original RTS was my all time favorite of the entire line. I particularly appreciated the shutter speed which you could set reliably while shooting with your eye at the viewfinder by just sliding your left thumb along the edge of the body . All the way forward and the SS would fall @ 1/60. RTS II &later bodies ruined that by incorporating a locking button to appease the magazine pundits that complained of accidentally bumping the dial. Fwiw- my 20+yrs of Contaxs: RTS, RTS II, RTS III,139Q,137MD, AX, S2b, T, G1,G2 + Yashica FR,FXd,FX3,FX7

Where can I locate Contax external adapter for w6 motor drive?
@28allday Жыл бұрын
do you mean the connector to the external power pack
@angelisone Жыл бұрын
You are referring to the ATG/Contax Professional Motor Drive (PMD W-6) 1. Remove battery cover 2. Remove 6V battery 3. Install ATG PA (power adapter) -you will need this for ATG/Contax PMD W-6 4. PMD W-6 has two units (motordrive & battery units) 5. ATG/Contax suggests for extreme shooting ATG/Contax Control Cord in 1 meter or 3 meters (very rare now) 6. Detach battery unit (12 AA batteries) from motordrive 7. Remove motordrive cover & insert Control Cord onto it & battery unit 8. Placed battery unit into PPJ or inside of coat 9. DO NOT use the Camera's Advance Lever X. One of a few cameras beside the OM-1 that can operate in extreme weather conditions. For the field, take the Olympus OM-1. ATG & extreme climbers tested on Mt. Everest. Its beat Canon F1 & Nikon F2
