The documentary is even more DIY than the music, which gives it a special charm tbh. It's clearly made out of love. Nice one.

absolutely. he's up there in my mind with some of the best electronic producers of our generation. His so is the definition of complex. THis is not a guy riding a trend. He eats breath and sleeeps in sound. We are the winners from his obvious obsession and passion. Amen.

Very cool docu about a very cool dude. Unfortunatly the very good music wich is way too loud makes it impossible to understand what is told. Maybe you can re-edit (I hope you saved your sequence) and pull down all music -20db under all quotes. Besides that, lot's of respect! Mxx

He’a a guy. He makes house. He did it. And he’s done it for a long time. But if he’s so good, why so long in gaining recognition? Has people’s opinions of music changed in expectation and creative expression? Either way its interesting. I see you got the message bout the audio issues. Thanks for putting forth the effort and sharing the experience of talking with this guy, I’ve only listened to his stuff for a few months but as simple as his rhythm may be his synth style is unique and I respect that. Glad to see he is getting wider recognition. Hope he and others continue to over throw pop culture and the youth quit listening to the kissfm sickness of culture and relate to genuine expressions of creativity and not mass marketed dehumanized sickness, though some popular artists may express something good the one’s who are mass marketed usually do not.
@nikmak6 жыл бұрын
lol wot?
@ubiquitousreverser6 жыл бұрын
nikmak I just see the music scene as a place of popular marketing rather than a place of original expression in the larger picture. And people that do something well don’t get massive recognition without marketing. So, idk, just what was on my mind when I saw this? A lot of artist’s spend roughly a decade producing, touring, and building a base before they breakout on a larger scale, if their music is well received.
@postlex6 жыл бұрын
Have been following him for 20 years. He’s a true artist (not in the pretentious sense). He is a dude who wants to make things that mean something to him, on his terms.
@ubiquitousreverser6 жыл бұрын
@@postlex Yeah, not many people can make a 4/4 beat electronic track and keep me interested. I appreciate that he also gives away free .wav audio sample's of some killer gear, from Korg's Monopoly, to Moog's Model D, and Roland Juno 106, that's really nice of him to take the time to put literally 100's of samples of each of several classic instruments. So it's sad that it has taken as long as it has for his artistry to make it's mark on a wider audience.
@prinsTobi6 жыл бұрын
I think that LoFi Electronic music nowadays is getting more recognition in general. It always had a fanbase in The Netherlands (where I live) and the countries that surround it due to for example internet radio stations like intergalactic fm.
