MARIZ A. CUARTERO Course: BSED 1A I chose conglomeration, where 2 or more business entities engaged in completely different or similar businesses. A good example I can give is Disney and Marvel. Disney is somehow similar to Marvel, because they both create contents, but Marvel is more specific to action and superheroes, while Disney creates contents that are fantasy themed movies, teen shows, love stories, comedy etc. But due to merging of companies the Marvel series are now able to broadcast their movies and create more contents along with Disney, such as Marvel Legos. Therefore, the merging of companies benefits each companies, because Disney can now create contents about Marvel Superheroes, movies and series, and can now broadcast Marvel Series on their broadcasting platforms. While Marvel expanded their broadcasting platform and easier access of creating contents.

Cesar,Krizia C. BSED ENG 1A I chose (a) market integration in general.Market integration occurs when prices among different locations or related goods follow similar patterns over a long period of time. Great example of an integrated marketing campaign is Coke's 'share a coke with' campaign, which used unified messaging across TV, Social, Outdoor and Display leading to a 7% uplift in Coke consumption by the target demographic, making it one of the most successful Coke campaigns in history.

JANELLA T CELINDRO BEED 1B CONGLOMERATE is the combination of two or more business entities engaged in either entirely different or similar businesses that fall under one corporate group. EXAMPLE: The Exxon and Mobil merging. In 1998, Exxon and Mobil made headlines after announcing their plans to merge. At the time, the companies were already the first and second-largest oil producers in the United States.

So coca cola company started in 1886 and they maintain the same price for a very long period of time. Delivering to the militaries in the united states until it reaches over 200 countries in the world. This company of course tried to market beverages at very low price in order for them to expand their business in other countries. They also make sure that the price is marketable to contain foreign country because you know a different countries and they also have different buying culture. That is why they need to study it a need to have strategies in order to move from one country to another and that is an example of a market integration.

Donavilla M. Ontar BSED ENGLISH 1A In this topic I would choose the letter a) the market integration in general. Market integration is a kind of situation, a situation that occurs when the prices among different product or good have the same similar patterns. For example, you buy a bike worth of 15 thousand pesos and at that point the price of the bike that you is the lowest amount of all because the production of bike decrease their prices for each bike. Therefore, the accessories of the bike like helmets, riding gear and so on will also go down in price. But if its increases, the demand of bike's accessories will also increase the price. It is because the both market has the chance to have a new demand for the products and services specially in production that's why it is called the market integration in general. It could also happen in other country to another country. If the country of China imported a product or goods in a lowest amount in the country of Philippines the amount or prices of each product from China will also sell in lowest amount but if its imported in a highest amount therefore the amount it when it sell will also in highest amount.

Name: Danielle Joyce Querijero Course: BSED-ENG 1A I chose conglomeration. Conglomeration is the process through which a conglomerate is formed, such as when a parent corporation begins to acquire subsidiaries. Conglomeration can also refer to a period of time during which multiple conglomerates form at the same time. One of the main benefits of conglomeration is that it protects the parent business against takeover attempts. Samsung, for example, is a worldwide recognized South Korean company that produces a wide range of electronic items. Samsung, on the other hand, is successful in a variety of industries, including heavy manufacturing, construction, insurance, and advertising.

Josephine T. Pobre BEED 1B Vertical integration refers to the merger of companies that are in the same business but in different stages of production or distribution. For example, imagine John Shoes Ltd., a major shoe manufacturer, merges with Shoe Retail Inc., a chain of shoe-shops - that is an example of vertical integration.

Jeremiah L Mezona BSED ENGLISH 1 A I will go for HORIZONTAL INTEGRATION, it is mixing or combination of two companies at the same level of the value chain. On the other hand it is an action where in a company acquire another the same company, good example of this is if you are a manufacturer in horizontal integration you need to mix in another manufacturer. In addition, some companies reason for joining horizontal integration is that the reason for expanding business all around the world, another one is providing a variety of product's to consume by the consumer. When a corporation wants to expand horizontally, it wants to expand its size, diversify its product or service, create economies of scale, lessen competition, or gain access to new customers or markets. To do so, one company buys another company in the same industry with a similar size and activities. The acquisition of Pixar by Disney and the acquisition of Instagram by Facebook are two excellent examples of horizontal integration.

Daisy Rose S. Garino BSED-ENGLISH 1A Types of Market Integration I choose(c) vertical integration. Vertical Integration is a strategy whereby a company owns or controls its suppliers, distributors, or retail locations to control its value or supply chain. Vertical integration is extremely useful in helping companies increase profits and helping them to improve their efficiency by decreasing costs such as transportation expenses and production time because time is a very valuable resource in industry. Example : McDonald's McDonald’s is one of the most famous companies using vertical integration to reduce its overall costs and increase profits. They own factories that produce mixtures of ingredients that they can then distribute to all their stores by McDonald’s trucks. By owning both the ingredient component and the distribution transportation units it is easier to get their product to their restaurants by lower costs.

Mapindan, Michel D. BSED ENGLISH-1A I choose Free Trade Area, one of the forms of Market Integration. Example of Free Trade Area is Asean Free Trade Agreement (AFTA). AFTA is a trade agreement between Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand, the six founding members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia have all been added over the years. Their goal is to establish a single market and an international production base, as well as to attract foreign direct investment and promote intra-ASEAN trade and investment.

Name: Jessa M. De Leon Course & Section: BEED-1B Answer: Horizontal Integration Horizontal integration is the process of a company increasing production of goods or services at the same part of the supply chain. A company may do this via internal expansion, acquisition or merger. The process can lead to monopoly if a company captures the vast majority of the market for that product or service. Example Another notable example of a horizontal integration was Walt Disney Company's $7.4 billion acquisition of Pixar Animation Studios in 2006. The deal is now widely considered to have literally and figuratively reanimated Disney, expanded its market share, and boosted its profits.

CYRILLE G. COBALLES BSED ENGLISH 1A I choose horizontal integration. It is a business strategy in which one company acquires or merges with another that operates at the same level in an industry. An example of horizontal integration is a Pfizer and Warner-Lambert. Pfizer paid $90 billion for Warner-Lambert in 2000. Both companies were in the pharmaceutical medicine industry, and their merger was dubbed "one of the most contentious acquisitions in history. "This notoriety stems from the fact that Warner-Lambert was set to be purchased by American Home Products, a consumer goods corporation. Pfizer jumped in after American Home Products backed away from the agreement, resulting in huge break-up fees. Pfizer gained ownership of the profits of a highly sought-after medicine (Lipitor), which totaled over $13 billion, as a result of the transaction.

Name: PAULINE A. ELORDE Course: BSED-ENGLISH 1A I chose Conglomeration. A conglomeration is a very large corporation or company that is formed by either takeovers or mergers and is made up of several combined companies. A conglomerate, in most cases, provides a diverse range of goods and services that are not at all necessarily related to one another. An example of it is the General Electric Company. General Electric Company (GE) is an American multinational conglomerate incorporated in New York State and headquartered in Boston. Until 2021, the company operated through aviation, power, renewable energy, digital industry, weapons manufacturing, locomotives, and venture capital and finance, but has since divested from several areas, now primarily consisting of the first four segments.

Name: Yesha Joshua V. Tabora Section: BSED ENGLISH 1A. In this topic I would like to pick and give example for (a) market integration in general. My example for this is that, if demand for baby dolls in a given geographical market falls by 50%, there is a good chance that demand for baby doll clothing will fall in proportion within that same geographical market. When the baby market expands, the market for doll clothing usually expands as well. Both markets would have the opportunity to adjust pricing in order to deal with the new demand circumstances, as well as other factors such as production. Because when prices in different locations or for related goods follow similar patterns over time, this is referred to as market integration.

NAME : CARISSA MALIWAT COURSE : BEED 1B ANSWER : Backward Vertical Integration Backward vertical integration is where a company joins with another that is at a stage before itself in the supply chain. In other words, it integrates with one of its suppliers. An example of backward vertical integration might be a bakery that purchases a wheat processor or a wheat farm. In this scenario, a retail supplier is purchasing one of its manufacturers, therefore cutting out the intermediary, and hindering competition.

Gaspar, Katrina M. BSED ENGLISH 1A ANSWER: The type of market integration that i choose is conglomeration which is made up of two or more business entities engaged in completely different of similar businesses that is usually with a parent company and numerous subsidiaries. For example, the Unilever Company produces products worldwide such as food, minerals, supplements, cleaning agents, beauty products, air purifiers, coffee, tea, and many others that can be consumed by every individual around the world. The parent company is located in London, England and its subsidiaries are located in countries like india, China Netherlands, United Kingdom, etc. In short , narration is a process of expansion of a company in a range of different product areas which leads to multiple operating markets rather than a single market.

JASMIN Q. GUINTO BEED 1B Here’s one of the type of Market integration: The Vertical integration is a strategy that allows a company to streamline its operations by taking direct ownership of various stages of its production process rather than relying on external contractors or suppliers. Vertical integration is a structure where a company owns the supply chain for its product, typically one or two companies involved in different stages of production. There are three types of vertical integration - backward, forward, and balanced. Vertical integration allows the company to control the distribution or supply of its goods - allowing it greater control and efficiencies along the supply chain.
