I don't know if Joey/The Contortionist ask you not to post the entire song, but why not just post parts I and II? Would be nice to see just one continuous clip of the 2 parts not in separate videos. Otherwise it's damn nice playing as it ALWAYS IS cuz Baca is lord of groovy wonderfulness.

Not sure of the exact app, but it looks like it's used to adjust his in-ear monitor mix. My band runs a similar app for our mixes for our PreSonus board.

You sound ignorant 🤔
@lastditch7276 жыл бұрын
@@PrimordialKrishna it's the most basic observation possible. Sorry it went over your head 🙄
@PrimordialKrishna6 жыл бұрын
lastditch727 it’s really not. How is it no longer heavy? Because it’s not fucking chugging 2/3 of the song? Adding more melody to a song does not make it less heavy. Take The Black Dahlia Murder for example. Most of their songs consist harmonizing melodies, arpeggio based solos, and yet they’re generally accepted as a “heavy” band. The reason your opinion is ignorant is because you, like some other “metalheads” still cling to the weird elitist mentality that change = less heavy = not good. Hope that clears it up for you as it didn’t go over my head.
@lastditch7276 жыл бұрын
@@PrimordialKrishna you sir are ignorance defined. Putting words in my mouth with everything you say while calling me names lol. Typical internet bs these days i suppose. You see nothing in its context. I didn't even say it was bad or i didn't like it or it sux or anything. But yes, i miss the brutality of the early stuff. Get a fkn grip dude.

Love Joey as a drummer but can't stand his cymbal choices, each to their own I guess.
@noahphipps12616 жыл бұрын
Funny thing with these endorsements, it's not their first choice either.
@Ro700Repeater6 жыл бұрын
He played Meinl for years before switching to Sabian, now he's back with them. Every cymbal company makes great cymbals, just personally I think that some of the series/sizes he has in this video don't fit with the bands overall sound.

Got any suggestions? @@Ro700Repeater
@Ro700Repeater6 жыл бұрын
I think the bell of the ride could do with cutting a little bit more, perhaps something like a Byzance dark ride. The hi hats seem a little smaller than what he'd usually use too and I would say are a bit too much on the bright side. Maybe the Pure Alloy series 14 for hats? Again this is only my personal opinion :)
@BionicleSaurus6 жыл бұрын
Agreed about the ride. I have the same one, and I've started putting a gel on it just to dry it up and make the bell clearer. On it's own, it's more of a crash ride. Still a beautiful sounding cymbal in terms of tone/timbre and all that though.
