Speaking of the gentleman watching you work. I am in dirt construction and we an older retired gentleman that does the same thing. He ran heavy equipment for years and will sit and watch our jobs for hours.

Do the Sugarbeets. You can use 2 16000L tippers in tandem. It'll be A LOT of product!!

On Saxthorpe I used 2 sets of 16000L tippers. The rh drive KW cabover would go dump 1 set while the tractor used the other set to unload the harvester. Timing worked out perfect for the set swap.

Nice episode mate - I think Davey might find himself grounded! And I say no to the Sugar Beets, focus on the core services you already offer unless you are going to invest in your own kit to do it. You can't always rely on a lease harvester to be available. 10 spraying contracts @ $4k a pop will earn you more, and be much less painful!!!

I agree about the cost of the kit, but as a viewer, 10 contracts of spraying will get boring to watch. I have yet to watch one of you premiere KZbinrs do sugarbeets ( I'm sure it's been done). Yes he can lease the kit or purchase it on a loan. It will be challenging, and normally, you 2 fellas like a challenge.

Another good one. As for the sugarbeet contract, the harvester has a very small header, and the trailer will need to run back and forward to the delivery point every time you empty the harvester. Up to you though. Cheers

I would think more $ in multiple smaller contracts in less time and with more variety. Regardless, loving the series and I'll just wait here on the edge of my seat till the next one😂

I would say yes to the sugarbeet IF Willie can drive the harvester, and you'll probably need some help to cart the beets, or else it would get boring and might set you back with other contracts. You may do some other little contracts concurrently, to stay dynamic. Also, you'll need the money, surely that FIAT will need some repairs... poor Davey, some people are just walking bad luck... And please, build the shed ASAP and get all your equipment locked, I don't trust that old geezer 😒 Stay safe!

Davey ditched it in a ditch... Hope the guy is okay, seems to not be the sharpest bulb in the tool sock. At least the police are on the scene, but that leads me to question just how much this is going to cost. You've got the equipment recovery, transportation and repairs, plus possible fines and who knows what injuries the poor kid may have.

I think if you accept the Sugar Beet contract, you will lose out on other minor contracts and everything you have worked so hard for will be for not. You will only be known for doing larger contracts.

The comments seem pretty equally split for the contract, so I thought I’d add my vote too. I say don’t do it. You’d have to borrow the equipment and risk doing harm to something that’s not yours. It would take a mighty long time with the small header plus the trips with the tractor and you’d be tied up for a while - losing out on other contracts that might come up. 😊

I say do the contract, but out of all the things to harvest, potatoes and sugar beets take the longest to harvest, which why they pay so much tbh. Painful to do, but worth the money if you wanna do it. Hopefully your worker is alright.

I play on mobile iOS and was wondering - Is it possible to simply raise the cultivators off the ground after a run before turning around? When an AI helper is running a cultivator I have seen them just raise it off the ground a bit before turning around. I only seen to have the ability to raise and fold the cultivator before I turn around then I have to wait for it to unfold. Any ideas?
