Well it decided to snow constantly through the night and I was met in the morning with over a foot of snow on the ground. This meant that there was no chance of doing any field work, but the cows still needed feeding, if we could get to them...

Hey mate, I'm a couple of episodes behind. But. Not sure about the UK where you are, but here down under our local councils use contractors during busy seasons when their own works department can't cope with the load. So things like tree trimming, grass cutting beside the roads and in your case maybe clearing snow covered roads. Just a thought for more contracting work during the down season

Thanks mate, I always struggle with people who say "that's not how you do it" when in fact in a completely different country and way of farming it might be exactly the way to do it. and I'm no saying I always get it right, but equally, there are limitations in the game too, (I can't help it if you blast the snow into the air it disappears) but that's life eh. appreciate you seeing it for what it is 👍

I have never done snow in the game. I always turn it off. You have given me a fun idea though. Start a new map, turn the snow on, F12 the hell out of it, buy the biggest plow and blower I can get and just clear roads all day. That looked like fun actually. Thanks for another great day FSG.

you can tell FSG is from the UK, and never used a snowblower.. Charles car will need a complete respray. Snow does not just disappear when you send it high with snow blower... Fun watching anyway !

I know it doesn't disappear but I can't change the game physics. it can get carried on the wind though and does break up compacted snow

I've noticed that silage bales have odd lengths of time to ferment. I wonder if the game figures how much time the sun is out and adjusts. So in the later fall, winter and early spring they will take longer? Or maybe the bigger the bale? Seems odd to me how it figures it out.

I have found they fermented more quickly stacked up together. I picked up a trailer load, leaving some bales in the field, and stacked them in the bale shed. The ones in the shed had fermented to 100% while the bales in the field were only at 78%.

This is why I hate interactive controls on tractors. As a console player our UI is limited enough without being cluttered up by window and door controls.

Need a bucket for that wheel loader. First time I have seen snow in FS. Little disappointed in that it just disappears if you blow it high enough.

That's kind of how it is in real life -> if it's the right type of snow AND if the wind is blowing the right direction. The light fluffy powdery snow just blows away. The heavy wet stick snow just comes right back down.

@@TheFarmSimGuyI mean, I live in VT. Even the fluffy stuff doesn't just disappear. The pile may be a little less pronounced and further from where I am clearing, but it doesn't just dissipate back into the air.

No that's just the standard snow in game, I think that's the maximum amount that can fall, and it's a little reliant on the weather/calendar on the map (or you can cheat it in with Easy Dev if you are on PC)

Hey Dusty, thanks for the comment, glad you are enjoying it. No straw = slurry, straw = manure, so I'm wanting to avoid manure, so I can spread the slurry on the fields 👍

Hi. New to FS22. How do you get your graphics so good? Any tips will help. I run a 13900ks and 3080ftw ultra 3, on either a 2k or 4k monitor. Thx

He’s got a smoking hot setup in his studio. There’s a video awhile back FSG made where he shows you his setup. FS22 is a very intense graphics game. It takes a ton of horsepower to run this game with everything at 100% or higher. You will spend $$$$$ to get the kind of graphics he and the other content providers have on here. BTW, FSG won’t answer those types of questions on here. Welcome to the FS22 family.

Hi @badhog1774, there's no real secret other than I tend to run all the advanced settings at max, your PC should be able to laugh at FS from a high graphics perspective. I'm running a 3070 founders edition on my gaming PC (I just bought a 4090 for me streaming and editing PC) there are a few settings that can make a big difference, image scaling is one, I run at 120% usually which helsp with sharpness, but will drop your frame rate slightly, you can turn of DLSS too which gets rid of the ghosting but again will impact your frame rate. It's worth having a play around with some of the Nvidia display settings too separate to the in game settings. you can find some optimal things in there too. I did post all my settings on discord a while ago, but might repost as I'm always playing around to get the optimal solution 👍

@@jensjesfjeld6238 certainly in the UK it's just moved out of the way, no one would waste time loading trailers and hauling it somewhere else. and snow blowers are desiged to dissipate the snow so it's not compacted and melts or drifts away on the wind before it hits the ground. it's rarely ever more than -2 or -3 degrees celcius in the UK so not so much magical but basic science. I get it would be different where the temperatures are much colder and volumes of snow greater, but this is a UK map and this is what people do in the UK

@@TheFarmSimGuy no harm intended. As a man that's battled heavy snowfall most winters of my 50 years in this planet I was moved to comment. I'm sure the physics of snow are difficult to replicate in a game. Since the snowblower is that effective I the game I'd use only that if it were me. :)
