I was 16 when i started watching this channel im 25 now and Ash has an awesome ability to build up a channel that encapsulates the attention of the majority of clash of clash royale after being a delivery driver and going through mental up and downs regarding his brother that he was very close to who was disabled. Ash normally posted "down to earth" videos where he would share personal and emotional content which all of his community loved. He is an OG and an Unc that the younger generation can relate to and his community can trust him. I love ya Ash never change!!!!!

As someone who created their own how gob bait deck when I first started and as someone who has been playing this archetype since the beginning through the highs and lows this was an incredible watch. All these nostalgic decks for me especially some like mighty miner being one of my favorite was cool to see decks that i long forgot about. Thanks for the video Ash! There's a few interesting bits of extra trivia that I think are worth mentioning. 1: Goblin barrel originally cost 4 elixir but did tiny impact damage to crown towers, but got reworked to 3 elixir without impact damage. Since zap was in every deck and hard-countered it for +1, this made barrel impractical to run without some zap bait element. 2: Barbarian barrel was borderline useless on release but when it got many buffs, especially to 2 elixir, it boxed out log bait not insignificantly. The key nerfs to barb barrel that let log bait breathe again were damage nerfs preventing it from straight up killing princess-health units, and a width reduction, which meant tricky barrels on the sides of the tower would preserve 1 goblin against a typical centered barb barrel. 3: Skeleton barrel got reworked to have less health, but move much faster, which gave it more of a light and quick pressure role, perfect for the log bait archetype. 4: Normally goblin gang is that card that shuts down everything if not spelled off, but they performed horribly against all 3 launch champions. Golden knight would wipe them all out with a 1 elixir ability, no questions asked, archer queen could 1-shot them (could get more than 5 shots off during ability), and skeleton king could (eventually) 1-shot them with a big splash radius. Hence the switch to guards (gk would only remove their shields, aq needed 9 shots in total, 3 per guard, and sk wouldn't quite wipe them out as efficiently) 5: Dagger duchess at its prime killed the goblin barrel aspect of log bait, and most cycle archetypes. However, it turned princess at the bridge into a real win condition, since it almost guaranteed tower damage unless predicted or very quickly reacted to. It also never crossed the bridge, making it not suffer against duchess like most troops, and any single card used to counter her would either not counter-push or be very easy to stop thanks to how broken the duchess was (often not needing to spend anything). This led to the rise of a rocket cycle deck that had no other win condition besides princess at the bridge. In the season it debuted, it would finish 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th among the top 10. 5.5: Ryley, the top log bait player, finished #1 with that deck, and the very next season, goblin barrel evo would be added. Kinda funny coincidence. Goblin barrel evo on launch was also kinda niche since it performed very poorly against duchess, but it quickly gained traction after duchess was nerfed to the ground. Bit of a long read but these were some points that I thought would be worth mentioning to add onto what was already covered. Pretty nice and comprehensive video from someone who's been in the scene since the start (and I'm sure this deck holds a special place in your heart because Surgical Goblin used it in the final final game of King's Cup 2 to clinch 60k)

One on a specific deck type 🤔. I like this a lot. Its not a particular focus on one card but a focus on a group of cards that, when combined, create the monsters we know them as. Genius ash. You took a winning formula and you put a fresh new twist on it that is very watchable and interesting. Keep it up :D . My only critique would be to up the audio quality and spend more time recording your lines. You still sound like Talk Show Ash. Almost like a quick fire script reading. Draw it out just a bit more :). I love it dude

Loved this! I'm glad to watch your videos again :) In a future video you could talk about the history of monetization or ways to make progress in the game. How in the beginning you could only do it through chests and gems but then they started introducing more chests, wild cards, the pass royale, the infamous X10 value offers, etc. Hope to see more of you!

Ive been playing clash royal for 8 years, to this day i still play classic log bait , and still dominating , while people are thinking about evo peka and mega knight , i just basically use inferno tower to counter them

Im sure that goblin barrel is single most hated card by clash developers. not a single buff, just a little bit of love, nothing, just counter after hard counters after counters... and to top it of, it got the single worst evolution... was my favorite card and deck type for years, but last two years is unplayable... makes me sad

I like the gob barrel evo! Yes, it's not the strongest evo, but the concept embodies exactly what log bait is: playing mind games and forcing the opponent to make lose-lose decisions. Also, I personally think it's a decent evo. It's not the OP or anything but definitely usable, I use it and am peaking right now (UC 1700) in POL

You know the game has a problem when it revolves around an archetype win con over 7 years. There's barely any positive trade towards the direct counter and the defender has to play their cards perfectly, nerfing the zap to can't kill goblins and turn an inferno useless is like playing rock paper scissors but the rock can't beat a scissor. 🤣
