If you use the rollers on inclined tracks, and use the third roller mode then it makes a cool smooth slope for the track

Fundamentally, Mojang has made it very clear they want MC to be a kind of blank canvas sandbox game. Adding a huge technical subsystem based on automation would skew the flavor of the game too much in one direction. I think it's much better to have vanilla MC be kinda "bland" and instead have the option to add mods that cater to your specific playstyle. People are already complaining how new versions of the game "don't feel like Minecraft anymore". As much as I love Create, if the base game started emulating it that problem would only be exacerbated.

clip boards can be used to copy settings from one create block to multiple, it can be used as a book in the sense that it can tell you what is needed for a schmatic but you can mark off what you have without going to the schmatic cannon to mark them, also, you can place down clipboards

I absolutely feel the elevator pains, Shalz, made an elevator with 3 stops that goes to near bedrock. Had to run redstone links that connect to redstone links because the bottom set of redstone links were out of range of the top where I started. It stopped on 3 floors & if there wasn't a block beneath the elevator, you'd fall through. Still waiting on updating to 0.5.1 because addons that I use for Create haven't updated yet.

That Elevator Pulley is honestly amazing. I made a 12-floor elevator in the Create: Above & Beyond modpack and while it worked, it was incredibly buggy at first and I had to dedicate a large cave to redstone, plus a bunch of Redstone links, plus adapting the limits so that the Pulley itself could drop down enough. And of course I made the classic mistake of believing a single-block-thick floor would be enough before I fell to my doom when I tried to use the elevator ^^') I also couldn't begin to imagine how to integrate multiple floor indicators on the various levels, at least based on the redstone I had already setup. But I believe this will be alleviated once I get that latest version. Thank you, Shalz, for the spotlight =)

Hey shalz, heads up, you can place the clipboards as blocks, and it works as an editable sign. Also, it is better than using a book in a schematic cannon

clipboards can be used to copy and paste the settings/actions for pretty much everything for example shoots and windmill bearings. you can also use them to put text on display boards. theyre also an objectively better book for schematic cannons since they tick off all the items you already have easily and you can bring it around with you.

Not sure if you found this out later, but clipboards do have some other uses. Firstly, you can use them instead of nametags for text displays. And, if that wasn't enough for you, you can use them to copy/paste settings of blocks. Say you need a munch of funnels to spit out exactly 18 cobble? Now you just need to set one up with that, then clipboard copy/paste those settings onto the others.

Set the rollers up to be making a bridge but set it to pillar or slope mode (it's hard to put into words) Even if you only fill a roller with full blocks if their's a slab variant it'll place slabs to build a smother slope

You could always use redstone to detect when the elevator cab is in motion and disable the call button. Would just be a couple gates per floor and one and gate

I feel like the mechanical roller is a bit cheaty, given it not only replaces blocks underneath the tracks, but literally builds _mountains_ below elevated tracks. Not to mention, it’s ability to destroy blocks in front of the train is already fulfilled by the drill block. Also you’d think it’d be used to roll out metal sheets with a name like that.

this reminds me of a train mod called immersive railroading mod and i think you would like it since if you use the mod in 1.12.2 you can find resource packs that add more trains and the controls are one your number pad 8 is throttle up, 5 is neutral, 2 is throttle down/backwards, 7 is brakes on, and 4 and 1 are brake down/off but that is for steam engines the diesels are basically the same but you use the + on your number pad to start the engine ( i may be wrong though). For me i got the mod on curseforge in the mod section and the image is a steam engine/an a3 peppercorn class.

Or maybe for a Wither chamber where you need to get rid of it for some reason, let Copper Freeman take the elevator down and you wait on the upper side with your crossbows as secondary defense

Idea: You can set the maximum speed for kinetic components in the config, set it very high, supply the elevator pulley with that high speed, then make a floor at level 320 and one at -64. I'm guessing it will go *very* fast.
