You could have tried making an early Autogyro, which would have an offset propeller for lift, and a fore propeller for directional movement. In the back you'd have your stabilisers to control where you're pointing.

Fun fact: tilting the helicopter to the front or back is exactly how real helis are driven forward and backward

Well, it's more that the rotors constantly tilt in a way that makes the heli go in a certain direction. When the tilt of the rotors is constant, the heli is stationary. But yeah I guess that does cause the tilt of the helicopter

I would love to see a mod that makes explosion & fire particles for when aircrafts collide with anything, it would look really cool when you crash (11:40, for example) also, it would be cool for in air combat with cannons and stuff. Awesome Video!

Look at the anglog levers and am not sure what reserves them but it allows you to have a strength of all 16 levels of redstone from a single lever. rather then have zero and full power!

I'd recomend in the future researching how helicopters work and their engineering next time, the rear rotary prop is important for stabilization and steering

there is a reason there is a propeller on the back of the helicopter. with it you can turn so with the copter you built first if you had built a vertical propeller it would go forward and you can turn it

You could just use a rotor vectoring to make it go forwards/backwards left/right and put 1 motor at the back to roll. Also you have to put the centre of lift in the same place as the centre of mass. If you can't do the helicopter try quadrocopter

Recommendation: you both build one with guns on (create big cannons) and then battle to the death. It would be a tad bit easier with boats instead of helicopters though tbf

As amazing as this would be, because of how Valkyrien Skies works, the projectiles of Create: Big Cannons go through the vehicles as if they aren't there. You'd have to hit the driver of the vehicle.

Helicopters seem to be one area of Clockwork that hasn't been touched on as much. At least to my knowledge. I'm still trying to figure out how to go about building them. Getting balancing right with the tail rotor can be pretty annoying. At least if you're going for a build with a main rotor and tail rotor. And I'm not exactly sure where to put that center of mass either. I've tried putting it in front of the propellor bearing, behind it, and right on the center, but it always seems to wind up tilting somehow. I think this is one of those things where I'll just have to figure it out through constant trial and error. And maybe looking up how real helicopters handle these problems too.

You should have put the flaps away from the center of gravity, id the Elevators aren't in the back or the front of the helicopter/aircraft, their effect is gonna be much lower Also, flaps only work when you have enough horizontal speed
