The Coolest Hotel in Alaska?! Staycation in Anchorage

We're excited to share our Anchorage staycation with you! We're staying at the new Aloft hotel in Midtown Anchorage, and we think it may be the coolest hotel in all of Alaska! Super modern and fun and it definitely didn't feel like we were still in Anchorage! We went to a movie, had sushi, and slept in. What a great staycation! Proof that even smaller getaways at home are totally worth it!

Sherri plays cards like me 💕 also weirdly enough… this hotel for me is giving a modern take on like a 70’s vibe with the furniture and colours and like the way the divider wall is between the bed and the sink. Super love the way they did the rooms! Hope you guys had a great stay cation!! I just finished listening to your podcast walking my dog and I laughed out loud when you were talking about cleaning the kitchen and think it would be better if it got hit by a comet. Really enjoying your content. You guys seem so nice and down to earth and relatable ☺️

I fall asleep in almost every movie about 5 mins in and wake about 10 mins before the end…I snore too! The louder the movie, the louder I snore according to friends. They try to wake me, but I fall back to sleep….🤣

If makes you feel any better, Adam, I fell asleep during Quantumania, too. 😂 I’ve only fallen asleep in a movie theatre two other times. I felt like there was too much dialogue leading up to the plot in this movie and I just couldn’t keep myself awake. I’d have to say out of all of the Ant Man movies, it was probably my least favorite.

The Captain Cook downtown is one of the more classic and iconic hotels in Anchorage. The Hyatt Place in midtown is new and also very nice.
