Living in Alaska can be harsh on equipment, with lots of snow & frigid temps! When we purchased our off grid cabin in Alaska, the only structure on the homestead was our cabin. We don't have anything to store our garage equipment in, to include our snow machines. Today we're going to fix that. We're installing a ShelterLogic pop up garage. Thanks for joining us for another video! Cheers...
SOURDOUGH FLAT BREAD:
You'll need:
1) Some sourdough discard (however much you want for the size flat bread you want).
2) Diced chives or regular onions. (Optional)
3) Everything bagel seasoning or whatever seasoning you'd like!
4) Olive oil & soy sauce.
Heat your skillet nice & hot over medium heat. Then add your discard to the pan. It should be sizzling! Try to flip only once. Sprinkle your seasoning & diced chives on top...flip the flat bread, allow to cook a few more minutes. While it's cooking, whisk up a simple sauce with a dash of soy sauce & olive oil.

Wow what a nice temporary fix to our BIG problem of no storage space on the homestead! We're definitely building a garage/shop for the property but that's a much bigger project for a later date! Until then, these little ShelterLogic pop up garages will get 'er done! P.S. Lil Rusty got sprayed with the spray bottle for getting on my kitchen table...that's why he looked like that lol. I said that in the video...but for everyone that skips thru me talking (eh hem) lol...that's why! He's perfectly fine, not sick...he was just wet. Thanks for joining us for another video! 😘Cheers...

Parker is adorable. I have three children of my own and they are all grown now and moved out. I totally understand how it feels to think about time, and how fast it goes by. Kids do grow fast, and it makes me sad from time to time because I miss them being home. Enjoy every minute.

Tina, Parker looks so much like his Daddy, Joe. Memories bring us so much joy and it hards to see how far they have come. My boys are 44 and 40. They have always been very respectful and very responsible. While they were in school, people would come up to me no tell me that. I was always so proud of them. My husband worked 12 hours a day and traveled for his work. So raising them was all me. I kept them on a schedule because when we kept to it, peace reigned in the house. My boys were very involved in sports and we ran continuously for them. I can say, I miss it terribly. So enjoy your babies people and hug and kiss them and let them know that they are loved.

You are so right Tina. The most important thing that we can teach our children is about God. This world doesn't care about what happens to anyone, it's nothing but greed and hate. My husband and I have been married for 41 years, and raised 2 amazing God loving sons. (39 & 40) Hold your babies tight, and teach them right from wrong. Time sure flies by fast, make the most of it. 💜

Give your cats some place hi to perch that is OK for them and spray it with bliss spray which is a catnip spray. Keep your chairs pushed under the table and put some things on top of the table around the edges that are high like canisters plants things like that so they can’t jump up there and they will get used to not getting up there

Beautiful and sentimental journey. Some friends asked me once, what is the right path to follow? My answer to them was straight out, look at what nature provides, you've got trails and hardened roads, trails are being made by many species, whilst hardened roads are destructive to nature, so decide yourself which path to follow. Some of them live ways from the city, others have nothing but concrete.

One day I was sitting in the waiting room at my doctors office and I kept looking at a picture hanging on the wall. It was crooked. All the other ones were straight. Drove me up a wall. I finally stood up, walked over to the picture and straightened it with everyone watching me., LOL! You're learning valuable lessons about snow. It turns into ice. Snowplows don't move the snow far enough. Snowblowers do. You are eventually going to buy a 4x4 tractor configured as at least a front end loader and optimally also as a backhoe. The loader will make short work of pushing back and piling up the snow and ice. Another tool you will want is tire chains. Using the side by side to move snow will eventually break something because speed and brutforce is no match for HP and leverage. Great job on the helmet and goggles. Frozen snow and ice can tear up and damage that young man's handsome face. 😎🥶💥🙏

The Alaskan winter creates a few obstacles that you all seem to adapt so well. The pop-up garage will certainly help with protecting your tools, machines and stored items. Not as good as a wooden or steel structure but does the job in the short run. I too,Tina. feel the same about cats on tables & eating surfaces . A rarely visited relative lived on an inherited farm and I would cringe when I saw cats all over the table ,etc. Never did accept an offer to stay for a meal . Parker is enjoying himself and good to see the dogs obey his instructions. Joe is enjoying the Polaris which seems to be a favorite UTE brand in the great outdoors. Once owned an awesome Polaris snowmobile but only recently discovered the company makes these versatile off road machines as well. All the best in 2023 ! 👍👍👍👨‍👩‍👦

When I saw all the hardware for the garage, especially the bag of nuts & bolts, I almost had a panick attack. If I had to put that together myself, I def would have had a panick attack & would have gotten into fetal position & cry. I have had put together simple things like cat trees, 1 coffee table... but this last coffee ☕️ table sat in its box, in the garage, for 2 years. I finally called my son & he put it together for me 2 Saturdays ago. He told me he has put together so much furniture, especially in the CG as an ET. Lots of desks & chairs. LOL.

Just keep on moving on up, great work guys ! The Fur Rondy is coming up great fun in Anchorage ! Lots of races, booths, make sure Parker wears his fur hat. Good time to meet other utubers and meet your supporters, you have a great thing going on, dress very warm and layers. Make sure you get a room ahead of time. The start of Iditarod yeah. My father sponsored the first Iditarod racer in 73 Richard Wilmarth . Fun times, hopefully they will have enough snow to start in Anchorage. Lol . Kitties will learn soon about no tables,no counters I'm with you!Thank you for your sharing!

That was darned smart of Bradley to tear at the snowball to make it smaller. I’m impressed! Secondly, I had to show my husband 5 minutes of your video….starting with showing him how many tubes, connectors, T’s, etc and then…the bolts! OMGOSH,

Nice! One of the first things we did when we moved to Palmer AK is add a 14x40 extension to my house garage. It has been worth its weight in gold this winter. Would have made it larger but material prices are out of control. You’ll enjoy that space and it will buy time till you can put a solid structure up.

Lol the end of the video made me laugh. You are so much fun. You remind me of my daughter who is 47. She’s a hoot. My anxiety rose when y’all started unpacking the new garage 😳but you did an awesome job putting it together! I freaked when the puppies got into a little scrap. Looking forward to the surprise you have coming up. As usual I really enjoyed the video! Until next time guys!
