@@CovenantGarage It was my favorite car I've ever owned but after 6 years of ownership it was time to move on. I was only going to throw more money at it for very little in return. I also had an 1 1/2 hour commute to school at the time and it was getting a little old for all that. I basically traded it for a '99 2.5RS Impreza coupe, another Initial D car. That car was a more reliable commuter at the time and almost equally as cool.

Im planning on importing a lexus gs300/Toyota Aristo V300, it is my dream car. 2JZ engine that i can play around with all i want, solid manual transmission, five seater, four door sedan. Practical car with a 2JZ, they're only like 11k-23k.

Another great non-86 that more people arguably know about is the Nissan 200sx S12. Damn near the splitting image, same general story as the Impulse too. I got one in great condition recently for 5500, they're not that common but they're out there.

Cool vid but something i think that fits the bill even closer is a TE71 liftback 1.6 SR. Doesnt really look like an 86 BUT alot of parts can go over cus its the chassis the AE86 is based off
