Realtime Colors helped me a lot when I wanted to help a client visualize how their brand color would look like on an actual website. I also use the Atmos Color Generator because it lets you customize many aspects of the palette like luminosity, and it emphasizes accessibility.

As an absolute beginner in UI/UX, I come from a background in software development and am eager to expand my skill set. I've recently started learning UI/UX, primarily focusing on using Figma to create web and app interfaces. However, I've encountered several challenges along the way. Firstly, I'm struggling with effectively utilizing color palettes to create visually appealing designs. Additionally, I find it challenging to select appropriate fonts and manage typography effectively. Despite creating three projects, I'm not satisfied with their overall aesthetics. While I don't aspire to become a professional UI/UX designer, I aim to produce work that is at least of average quality. Could you please provide guidance to help me improve in these areas?

You would need to put in a lot of effort and practice to get a good feel of which typography, colors and layout works best with each other. Some still don't even get good at it even after years which is why it's funny when devs underestimate UI designers thinking "Oh his job is so easy I could probably do it" until they actually try it and end up with goofy designs 😂 But if you're serious with it then I suggest you start with the foundations first, the principles of design such as understanding contrast, white space, hierarchy, balance, unity, scale, emphasis etc. Then the gestalt principles such as rule of proximity, similarity, symmetry etc. When you fully understand these principles it will help you implement appealing typography and colors. then you also need to take account legibility and readability, this is very important in terms of presenting information in interface, unless the goal is for artistic/decorative purposes then the typeface should always be clear so avoid fancy typefaces for small text

I'm a bit unsettled when she says "hundreds" of options/colors, recently I spent 3/4 hours trying to choose colors hahaha this suggestions will push me to the rabbit hole again haha
