The player controls a survivor of a spaceship crash on an alien oceanic planet, which they are free to explore. @@matiasgago And your spoilerfree Aerogel help. You need another plant to combine in the replikator. If you keep following the radiohints you will get there, or you visit the Bloodkelp again (the place with the bloodoil) and go deeper, around 400m should do. MK2 for the Seamoth would be good, you can get it with the modification station, you have found the blueprint, just not build the station. You can have more than one identical module on the seamoth so you can have a 2. freight module and fill it with food, water, firstaids, markers and all the other supplys for the long run.

Do be aware that time capsules can contain spoilers though. There are filters on what items can be included, but people have found ways to sneak end-game stuff into them, and of course the message and screenshot could say or show anything from the game.

Pro tip: you can build modules like the fabricatior and indoor grow beds inside the cyclops. Powered modules will drain the batteries

You can also build storage lockers. I use the smaller lockers and line the walls downstairs with them. You can fit one over the other across from the provided lockers and it will give you more room that the larger lockers.

The thermalblade is an upgrade from the normal blade, it insta cooks fish you hit with it and is a slightly stronger deterrent against enemies. FYI you can hit fish with the knife and after certain amount of hits they run away. Tip: carry a 2 beacons with you to mark some entrances or important locations.

I really enjoyed the energy in your playthroughs. This was a great episode. 1) read everything, CAREFULLY, the story depends on it. 2) Make an "Excursion" checklist. (Food, water, health, tools) 3) The radio is the mechanic that moves the story forward. 4) Use your heated blade to cook your food. It would have saved your ass because cooked food doesn't dehydrate you,

I recommend you to build a base inside the cyclops. You can put a indoor growbed, and plant fruits(like the lantern fruit found on the islands, and you can just collect the fruits from the tree, don't need to use your knife). So you'll never have problems with hunger while travelling in the cyclops. You can build inside the cyclops just like you already do on your habitats, using the habitat builder. I hope my english is not being a problem here, i'm not fluent, sorry for any mistake.

He should focus on exploring deeper with his seamoth before focussing too much on the Cyclops. Cyclops isn't really needed until end game. And putting a lot of time into building it out before learning to control it could lead to hours of lost prep time for no reason if he breaks the Cyclops.

The huge bottom dwelling lifeform is peaceful as long as you don't irritate it - and the migration path it follows has enormous amounts of resources, so if you come across it again I'd recommend having a look around it.

Also you can build inside your Cyclops! I always add indoor growbeds for food and extra storage and a fabricator. And an aquarium just for bladder fish

Just grow marble melons in a Cyclops indoor grow bed and you'll have little need for water. But don't focus on the Cyclops too much until you find more ingredients and craft more upgrades.

Wow, I played and finished this game several times and I have NEVER seen the jelly mushroom worms so aggressive before O_o. I dunno what you did to them in this or previous life but they seem to have a vendetta against you Mati holy crap. All the cool stuff you received and did not know where you got it from (thermoblade and more) was in that time capsule you found. When you finish the game, you get to leave one and supposedly, if approved by the game devs, other players will have a chance to find it when they play. Also the depth module mk2 for the seamoth (and everything else that is mk2 and above) can be found in the modification station that you must build. Also here's a very huge tip man, remember you can grow food inside your base, this way you don't need to worry about catching fish. Lastly, make sure you treat your cyclops as a portable base, you can build in it almost anything you want (including a bed) and it is insanely power hungry so I usually don't use it unless I have a very specific upgrade that you have yet to find, I won't spoil it but you should really go and explore with your seamoth as deep as you can and find all the blueprints. Keep going man, you're doing great! P.S - That "giant bottom dweller" isn't so bad, if you find them I think you will be positively surprised.

Some tips for the cyclops: Silent running makes the energy deplete 3 times faster. You should put the cyclops energy efficiency module since it is very power hungry. Put some edible plants inside the cyclops for longer expeditions. Lights don't affect the energy levels.

Remember the modifcation station is different to the vehicle modification station. Vechicle station lets you create the depth module, you upgrade it with the reguarl modification station, I wish they didnt have such similar names haha. Also if you dont have a specific material chances are you will encouter it while following the story and main quest. Unfortunately theres no many survival games like subnautica, most games in the genre dont have actual campaigns and end goals. The only other similar one i can think of is The Forest.

You can also collect seeds from underwater plants and put them in there. Plus, it’s cool to collect creatures and keep them as pets :)

Aerogel requires a plant resource that I don't think you've discovered yet. You'll probably recognize it when you see it. You can also harvest seeds and plant many of your essential plant-based resources (e.g. clustervine, blood oil, deep shrooms, etc.) in external grow beds for harvesting at your leisure.

You should make a food grow room. There are plants on the island that you can eat. Bulbo tree, lantern tree, melons and potatoes. And no need to cook them. Also you can grow food in the cyclops to have a mobile garden.

I filled my cyclops with wall lockers floor to ceiling, mats for scanner room + power sources and one locker full of batteries and one of powercells and never made another stationary base.

Non-spoiler tip : Work on the seamoth depth module Mk 2, explore in those depths. Scary is good. Have trouble finding a particular ressource ? Build a scanner room in the right-ish area. Mini bases to build scanner rooms can be fun projects :) The lights in the cyclops, as in the seamoth, do not use power. You can build in the cyclops. Plant lantern fruit and/or bulbo trees for sustenance/ambiance

Its awesome every time anyone first builds the Cyclops, its just so big and feels amazing to get, i think its my fav unlockable in the game captaining a huge sub. The sheer size of the thing always gets the best reactions. Now i will be waiting on baited breath to see your next part, keep on keeping on man. :D (Also as a side note i hope when ya finish this that you will consider playing Below Zero the dlc/expansion of this game. People generally like it less but its also still a good time just not as peak as the base game. "One Eyed Joe" for the cyclops. Tips for the cyclops, silent running is very powerful and power hungry, your drain power really fast using it. You can build in the cyclops. It's basically a mobile base. DO NOT PUT CHARGERS IN THE CYCLOPS!! The reason is it's pulling power from the cyclops power cells to charge the batteries and power cells in your chargers, batteries are not as bad but still not worth the power draw from your power cell. Remember 1 power cell is 2 batteries so to fully charge a battery from 0 to 100 is going to drain half of one the 6 power cells. Keep extra power cells stored on the cyclops so you can have an extended exploration range, best practice is to keep 2 to 3 extra power cells so you can get back to base. Have an emergency use fabricator in the cyclops, it comes in handy. Personally I have never noticed if leaving the lights on draws power. Get used to using the cameras, you will be shoving that big boat into some tight places and you can still maneuver while looking out the cameras, the cyclops also has a collision indicator if you're getting too close to something and might hit. General tip Make use of your plant pot blueprints for food, the indoor growbed for marble melons (my preferred plant food) or any of the plant pots for the lantern fruit trees. Unless you have the alien containment build-able, then you can throw a couple of peepers or other fish of your choice in and they'll get busy and self propagate giving you fresh fish without having to hunt for them. Be mindful though the alien containment has a limit of how much can be in it but it's expandable. If you grow the plants the lantern tree is the lower maintenance of the plant food, the marble melons need you to cut some of them to have seeds to replant but more than make up for it in what they give you. Ultimately the choice is yours whether you use this info or not

5:00 Whoever told you to recover the upgrade from the Dead Zone was trolling you. It is impossible to recover stuff from a Seamoth or Prawn Suit wreck. Name suggestion for the Cyclops: Polyphemus, after the cyclops from the Odyssey in greek mythology.

I generally only use the Cyclops when I want to build a base somewhere far away. It has enough storage space to pack all the basic materials and components to whatever location you want to build at. Any base I build away from Home is comprised of a foundation platform, multi-purpose room, hatch, scanning room, moon pool, then solar panels for bases in shallow water, or 2 thermal generators with power transmitters and multiple reinforcement panels for deeper bases. You can also build indoor grow beds in the cyclops so you always have food Also remember that any other equipment you build on the Cyclops, like a frabricator or battery charger, gets it's power from those 6 power cells. But when it comes to Leviathans, switch to silent running and sneak past them undetected. If they come after you, switch to max speed and run for it! Speaking of Leviathans, you should really get yourself a Stasis Gun!

I absolutely love this as I enjoy watching people play the game. Oh major spoiler warning for those that want to know what the scanner room does. Anyway there is an easter egg in the game as there used to be a huge exploit in the game. This exploit requires the drones from the scanner room and like 4 acid mushrooms to work. Okay so let's say you have a base with the foundation on the bottom. First save and while the game is saving you put the acid mushrooms as close to the bottom of the base as possible and use the drone to crash into the acid mushroom and the base at the same time. The base will register that it was hit but due to like poor coding instead of registering that the drone hit it the base will register the acid mushroom but since acid mushrooms did no damage to the base nothing will happen but the base will both register that it's both damaged but not damaged at the same time which leads the base to practically being immortal since the base is trying to register damage that wasn't there. This exploit was commonly used to see how far people can go into the dead zone and for trapping leviathans to keep as pets. This exploit was patched out but there is an Easter egg for those that try to do the exploit again. Sorry if there are spelling mistakes English is not my first language.

Worth the wait. I'm playing along, just been playing with prawn but haven't built the cyclops yet, saving best for last. Seamoth name suggestion - Bubble / Hopper / Cyclops - Leviathan 2 (as in, I have a now I have a leviathan too). In Greek mythology the cyclops who was son of Poseidon was named Polyphemus. For Aerogel you need a Gel Sacks, a little green bush with luminous purple spots, found mine 400-600 metres down around the blood oil area. Took seamoth to 300 then went rest of the way with next level of oxygen tank, plenty of time to explore you need an upgrade. Once you find them, hit them with a knife twice to get the spores, then pick up the sack. You can grow the spores in plantbeds for infinite aerogel

Tips for being attacked while in cyclops (so you dont lose it) : try and get the shield generator upgrade and the engine efficiency upgrade, and whenever attacked by big creatures such as leviathans or the like, turn off the engine and lights. (DO NOT try to run away) Also silent running uses loads more power and is great for areas that you know are high risk, turning off lights and silent running will practically make you invisible.

I always use the same names for my subs, Kantun for seamoth and Akula for cyclops. And yes, hostile creatures can absolutely damage your cyclops but thats what the silent mode is for, if you use that and slow down or completely stop they won't notice you, it would be also good to tell you you can build inside the cyclops, and don't forget to make a engine efficiency for the cyclops. I love this series so much i hope you continue with it ❤

Mati, you can find something that you can put the creature eggs into, that cute little egg you got in the big mushroom, who knows what will that grow into? You can also build something inside your cyclops and become a portable base. Bed, fabricator, medkit, indoor growbed, etc.

Tips for the cyclops. Use engine efficiency upgrade, you already found, to save power cells. Make sure you always have a decoy loaded so when It gets attacked you can launch it and get away. Only use rig for silent running when avoiding monster attacks. It uses a lot of power. If you need to explore where leviathans are park it in a safe place and use seamoth or prawn suit to explore.

its a good idea to plant blood oil and deep shrooms in an outer garden by your base, you'll need them for advanced recipes. you should also try to get a water filtration system and indoor grow beds making food and water for you

My suggestions for the Seamoth are Nebula or The Milano which was Rockets M-Class spaceship before it was destroyed So it's only fitting that the name for the Cyclops would be The Benatar as that was the Upgrade from The Milano. But other viewers should get to pick imo

You need a modification station to build deeper modules for the seamoth and stuff. There are lots of awesome upgrades to make like faster fins and better o2 tanks, plus other upgrades for vehicles.

A tip mati! The best resource for titanium is the metal slavages! Each gives 4 titanium and they are absolutely everywhere specially near the aurora crash sight

Also spoilerfree tip: dont limit yourself in building scanner rooms *strategically* in the centre of cave/biome all over the map. 1 multipurpose room (for bio reactor) + scanner room + 4x distance upgrade + HUD chip, to make sure you find EVERYTHING inculding mats, fragments, wrecks, leviathans. Note, that you only need to make 4 distance upgrades, so you can switch them between your scanner rooms in different biomes when you go there. As an option you can place moonpool, power cell & battery chargers of course. And lockers lockers lockers everywhere )))

Hunting tip: one of the guns freezes everything within a big bubble…you can freeze a bunch of fish at once and then easily thermal blade them all (or pick them up raw) really quickly. Much easier than chasing each one around 👍👍

when you use the silent mode in the cyclops or drive faster it consumes way more power than normally

Cyclops name "Heart of Gold" from "the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy". The ship talking to you reminds me of that. Make an exterior grow bed and plant all the stuff you get from the deep areas. The blood oil, deep shrooms, gel sakes... everything you collect and use. When you find a coffee maker, you have unlimited water... but it takes like 2 or 3 to make it useful. Good in the cyclops. It saves on your stored water supplies for when you really need them. Also a snack machine can be handy. That ship is a complete portable base and can house everything including a bed. Treat it as such. You can put more wall lockers in there and everything else.

1:33:03 that passive sonar shows nearby large predators and leviathan predators, basically the only things that can damage the Cyclops besides running it into the terrain. I highly recommend getting energy-saving modules for the Cyclops since it's very power-hungry. I think you picked up the engine efficiency module from the Aurora. I wouldn't be too worried about losing the Cyclops; it's a tough little ship.

One tip is to always have at least one beacon on you when going out to explore.
