Next step would be to try to go from 'corner' to 'corner'. Shortest path would probably be Southeast Crash Zone to Northwest Dunes. Though, you could attempt a longer route, maybe starting in the Southwest at the tip of the Deep Grand Reef (like walking the plank into the abyss), then surfacing in the Northeast in the Mountains. Might have to go all out for the long route though. Ion Battery in the Seaglide, dropping to the bottom of the map in a Prawn suit, and maybe one more o2 tank than what you used here. Would be cool to see.

Another great video dropped 🔥🔥🔥Also, I have an idea for a crazy challenge 😅! So, you're being sent by Altera to the Dunes to obtain a cuddle fish egg. As soon as you optain it, the egg messes with the navigation systems so you have no idea how to escape the Dunes. Altera contacts you and tells you that they would need 1 hour to send you coordinates back to your lifepod. So, you are now forced to spend an hour in the Dunes. Since this was initially a mission to only obtain the cuddle fish egg you only have a seamoth, no repair tool and no stasis riffle. You also have adequate amounts of water but not food, so you're forced to search around the area for fish. On top of all of that, Altera demands that you scan a Reaper Leviathan and explore at least one shipwreck to gather data in order to "pay them" for their time. The only reward in this challenge is the bragging privilege that you stayed in the Dunes for over an hour willingly 😂. Also, if your seamoth gets destroyed (you can equip it with upgrades however you like) Altera will refuse to allow you to use the titanium sources in EVERY AREA apart from the back of the Aurora to build a new one. So you're forced to go to the back of the Aurora if you want to get the titanium you need😂!

When I did the same I had less difficulty because instead of so many heavy tanks I just used a single tank and lots of air bladders to refill it on the go. Ended the trip with lots of spare air. Now try that with a Cyclops!

I still remember in Early Access, but like some of the earliest version, there were no equipment slots so having the oxygen tank in your inventory was how you got oxygen. So if you had your inventory full of high capacity tanks you'll have like 10-15 minutes of oxygen. Also remember how before the tanks slowed you down so you could craft lighter version eventually.

The reason you ended up going down to 1800m is because you swam directly underneath the Primary Containment Facility
