You'd have loved my inner circle during my teenage years. 10-12 friends all gathered at my friend Red's house. We had multiple shinais and would hold 'tournaments'. Thrusting is a nono with shinai though, and I remember old Red mounting the most furious attack I've ever seen after my friend Aaron inadvertently thrust at him. Good times...
