I’m from the states and the reason why he’s so popular because his music sounds western, modernized, and with the times. He listens to a lot of western rap which is why his music sounds the way it does. He’s pushing the boundaries and way ahead of most Filipino rappers. He raps to the cadence of the beat and goes with the melody unlike other Filipino rappers who just write lyrics to sound lyrical. Hev Abi the best rapper in my opinion coming from California.

there is really a misconception in between sampling and interpolation. nowadays, there are no original things to think about, due to the attention span of us, individuals. but some aspiring ones are taking inspiration from the old heads, which is a good thing because paying homage is a natural instinct. in this time where everything can be mainstream, all we had to do is just accept the fact that we are just jumping to a new trend/fad because art in general just keeps evolving.

Way back nung nagttrending ang EXB and O.C Dawgs, i already got hooked and their music was something to my ears. I still remember like, around 2019 and between 2021-22, na kesyo jejemon at corny ng songs nila. A year later, 2023, dala nng influence of TikTok in our country, ang daming pumatok na songs and lip syncing musics from EXB and OC Dawgs. From that point, i had no reason to complain and be mad sa mga bandwagon and haters nila, but full appreciation, na they're being recognized by the people.

pag parehas yung beats pwede gamitin as samples, ok lang na gumamit ng samples sa iba basta di sya magkapareho ng sagad sagad need syang i alter o baguhin. pag sa lyrics pwede naman kung iisang bar lang pero bawal yung literal na copy paste, rephrase, o translate sa ibang language. mahirap na gumawa ng bago or original music, damit, movies, beats, flows kaya lahat sinasample mga swabeng ipasok sa beat. Hindi mo namention na kailangan sa sampling na may permission ka gamitin yung kinuha mo sa art ng iba. Most of the time, kailangan magbayad o mag bigay ng royalties, depende sa magiging agreement nyo ng may-ari ng pagkukuhanan mo. Hindi basta-basta na pwede mag sample lang. Kapag walang agreement or permission, pagnanakaw lang yun. Isa sa mga samples na pinakita mo ay yung kay Dua Lipa, hindi yun sampling kasi dumaan pa sa court yun para maprove na hindi nila ninakaw or ginaya yung isang song dahil nag sampa ng kaso yung sinasabi na pinaggayahan, copyright lawsuit yun. Ironic na meron ka pang copyright disclaimer sa description ng video.

Beyonce did this to her entire Renaissance album, and brought forth the highest-grossing world tour of 2023. Lana Del Rey did this to her song 'Doin' Time' from the NFR album. I believe as long as credits are given to where it's due, okay lang. After all, we should not miss the main point of why we create and listen to music - to create our own culture, to learn from the past, to celebrate the wins, and to create a better community with human beings striving to be better everyday wherein most of us, are only living to survive.
