you're not wrong, but it really does help with power over just one hand. fancy name, but it kinda is better than just scoot

Yeah you're right but it is called a masterscoot because it is a scoot using a master takeoff. If you look at a masterswipe or a grandmaster swipe, they all share the same takeoff. It looks just like a scoot with two hands when done without a setup but if you see someone do cartwheel > masterscoot or fullhyper > masterscoot, the master swing is more pronounced.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this a cork swipeknife? Cork jackknife, from what I understand, is a swing 9 hyperhook. The differences being that the base jackknife has no inversion and the base swipeknife does. So by having the inversion of a sideswipe in your cork variation would classify it as a cork swipeknife, no? Genuinely curious, not trying to hate, I greatly appreciate the tutorials

It's a swing 9 knife not swing 10 knife (in common terminology). You apply the variation to the base trick, not the higher level trick.
