Hey man quick question: Do you do each muscle rolling on reps or for time and how many/for how long? Also really awesome video, I coincidentally just bought a foam roll a few days ago too hehe

Kyung Frawqqy My reps and time are different every time I roll. It usually takes half an hour to get through the whole routine, but I will foam roll for hours if my body is sore and tight. I usually try to listen to my body. I roll more over the muscles that are tight and less over the muscles that are loose. I will roll for as long as it takes to make my body to relax.

This helped so much!!! A tip if you have extra pvc pipe laying around like 4'' stuff which is about the size of a foam roller. The PVC pipe works great and really gets a deep tissue massage. Just thought I'd put this out there and maybe save some people some money.

One thing about certain types of foam rollers is that you don't want to get one that will slip on the surface that you hope to use it on, which unfortunately, I ended up doing. I hoped to be able to use a foam roller to deal with sore muscles (I use the exercise bikes at the gym I'm a member of a lot and do quite a bit of walking, which combines to lead to sore leg muscles), but unfortunately, the one I got slips and slides on my carpet when I try to use it, so it's practically worthless.

Thank you so much! I have recently started foam rolling and stretching more, and this helped me understand which muscles I should focus on. Keep killing it bro, I love your content!

It's better to roll after or before static/deep stretching?

Erik Straka I’m not sure if one is better or worse then the other, but I prefer to stretch after foam rolling. I get a deeper range of motion in my stretches after foam rolling because my muscles are already pretty loose. Thanks for the question 🔥

Can I ask why not roll out the IT band (other than the fact that it's excruciating XD)?

Awesome guide man! Is there any alternative to a foam roll if you don't own one?

Team Wraith you can use a tennis ball or a baseball(baseball hurts), but most foam rollers are like $5-10 unless you really wanna splurge on one

i heard you shouldn't roll out your quads in both directions, because of the venous valves there. rather roll, so that the foam roller moves to your heart.

Jan Simon I trust you, but everybody is born with a different body. What works for one person might not work for the next. That sounds super interesting, so I will educate myself further 👌🏼 I think it’s best that we listen to our bodies. If you feel pain or discomfort then we should avoid that motion, but I don’t think rolling both ways will do any harm. Especially if you have a strong body and require foam rolling as a tool for recovery.
