An experience in SF in 2004, the first time I visited the place, I met a homeless guy; I was trying to give a dollar, but he was pointing my unopened bottled water. I was thirsty myself, cause it was a hot mid noon walk, but I told myself, I can always get one for myself. I gave my water 🙏🙏🙏 to the guy.

Father Chris, my family and I, we took care of old folks for 20 something years. It’s an “adult family home “. We consider them “our elderly family “ members. Now we are retired, being elderly ourselves. We made sure that the next person who took over are good people. It’s hard because we are not allowed to visit them due to Covid. Hi Fr. Chris, thank you once again for sharing your gifts; wisdom, knowledge and understanding. I would like to share my experienced also last Thursday. I went to the fish and chips take away / restaurant to buy one for our supper. Here in UK on that day was too hot. Anyway while I was waiting for my order, there was a couple came out from the restaurant then this young man approached them for a pound to buy a bottle of water. But couple said to this young man , we don't have money! By hearing those words, I immediately check my handbag if I have money and I found £2.00. But I can't find him anymore.Then a minute later he came out from the grocery store empty handed. And I said to him, here is the money to buy a water. He was so happy and went back to the shop to get the water. On that time I am so distracted seeing and hearing this young man begging money for water and the response from the couple. I was reminded about Jesus message. When I am thirsty, you give me drink. I then said my prayers to both of them.

Thank you Fr Chris. You really know how to explain the works of mercy. Thank you for sharing your Chicago nightmare flight. I’ve been through those times of missing a flight, cancelled flights but I never get upset but rather make the best of it. Either read a book or a person next to you would start having a conversation. Please know this is why I watched you because of the wisdom and knowledge you share with us is more than what I learned as a cradle Catholic. I’m trying to set my mind and heart above not on earthly all things just to go to heaven.
